+ -1 moreI thought the salesman was pushy and I was taken aback by the fact that we were not allowed to think about it overnight without a ridiculous increase in the price. However, since the home next door had just had a break-in, we felt a bit pushed to the wall. We had a similar deal on a home in another state without the hard sell and the alarm service company was the same. The installation also was not without problems. After the installation the DSL went out and when we called the alarm company back (after going through our ISP to make sure it wasn't them), the installer didn't want to come back out. Instead, he had me go into the box and I ended up breaking the latch (it wasn't straighforward unless you already knew how to do it). Instead of fixing it or replacing it, I was told to tape it closed. In addition, they failed to alert us to the fact that we are required to register our alarm in Philadelphia or face a fine until after we had an alarm.
Description of Work: Installation of breach alarm on three doors, motion detector and alarm system. Required signing a three year monthly contract with ADT at a rate of $35/month.
