I recently had work done to my home due to bad weather damaged to my roof gutters and coping. I called NYC smart Builders and they came out, took a look, received half down payment and received half work completed. The workers were professional, respectful and cleaned the area before leaving.

Very prompt and reliable. Polite and respectful. Work is top notch. It was a pleasure to do business with them.

Christian Duchi provided a quote of ($2k) for the intended project. I stressed what I expected. I was then advised by Christian that in order to achieve my goal a higher quality metal would be needed. I was told that most customers do not get the results they want because they do not want to spend the money and go with a cheaper product. I needed his advice, and $1k was added to the final cost for the better metal. I showed him the way I wanted the metal bent and color (Black). When he arrived with the metal, already bent, the day of installation, I noticed he brought white soffits which he spray-painted black in my backyard. Now the soffits do not match my gutters and fascia. I let that one go and did not say anything to him. While the project progressed, there were things that did not look right. I had to keep a close eye because Christian employees kept cutting corners. At one point he was bending metal with his bare hands. You cannot achieve sharp bends without the proper tools, which by the way he did not have so I loaned him mine. When it came to cut the metal, he would use a utility knife to scour the metal and then bend it back, and forth until it would break. Tin snips would be the proper tool to achieve a clean-cut, he had them but barely used them. When it was time to splice and add the end caps to the gutters self-tapping screws were used instead of rivets. Rivets require more time to install but the results are more appealing and a cleaner look. By this time night was upon us, and I thought they would stop working and continue the next day since visibility was poor and good results would be compromised. But he did not do so. I told him to leave it that I would finish it myself in order to assure a good job. All metal gutters, downspouts, elbows, and fascia are wrapped in a protective plastic that is removed as it is installed. I was told it was my responsibility to remove this because I opted out of the extra $100 for clean up. Now I have fascias installed under gutters which makes it very difficult to remove the plastic wrap. The following day I began to remove the plastic wrap from the metal and noticed that there was oil canning on the gable side of the garage. This was my biggest concern and the reason for upgrading to the higher quality metal. Cristian assured me that I would not see any oil canning with the higher quality metal. I texted Cristian and informed him of all my concerns. He replied faulting me for my choices. Not once did he take any responsibility for the poor quality of his work nor did he offer to correct any of it. No care for esthetics very amateur work. I can provide pictures to back up my claims.

I hired Cristian for my flat roof repair ! My ceiling was leaking after every rain last half year! He made a free estimates for me in just a hour after I call on phone ! He arrived fast! He gave me very explicit explanation I signed contract for reasonable price! He installed a rubber roof layer on a top of old roof ! The work was done fast and good He even cleaned up all around my house! After big rain finally my ceiling is dry! Iam very satisfied! And he also very friendly and responsible!

Christian installed my skylight I asked him to add a filler on the walls, he purchased wood panels 3/4 inch from Home Depot did a shit show off a job and now wants me to pay more money for unfinished work. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Heâ  s very dishonest.

I feel like they tried to up sell me and I feel like I have been lied to. They are not taking responsibility for their mistake.

They did repair on my roof my appointment was at 10 oâ clock they were here exactly at 10 oâ clock they took pictures of my roof before and after they did an amazing job on my roof loved it the price was reasonable price for the work they did theyâ ve had done work for me in the past.

I paid over a 1000 dollars to have two skylights flashed. One is still leaking and would only give my credit back if I got a new roof.

I hired NYC Smart Builders for a bathroom remodel. Cristian & Cristian and their team did a great job, I'm very happy with the final product. They arrived exactly on time every single day for two weeks while the project was going on, they worked incredibly diligently (barely even taking breaks), they were thoughtful and took care to protect my floors, and they cleaned up after themselves each day. They were also very kind and friendly, and I was pleased that they always replied to my email messages within just a few hours. Their price was not cheap by any means and there were some additional unexpected expenses that I had to shoulder along the way, but I believe this is a somewhat normal part of a remodeling job, and one has to be very careful at the contract-signing stage to enumerate every single expense. (They also tended to mark up the supplies that they purchased rather dramatically instead of charging the actual purchase price.) That said, they were honest and transparent with me about all of their expenses and charges, and as I said earlier they worked very, very hard and did a good job, and they had no problem sticking with some tricky problems until they solved them. It was a pleasure to do business with this company, I would definitely recommend them.

NSB did a great job finding the right solution at the right price. They were on time, communicative, responsive, and good value. They did a great job patching our roof!

Cristian was very responsive, arrived when agreed, did exactly what he said he would at the price agreed on. When he was running a little late the day of the job, he texted me to let me know and then arrived even sooner than expected. He and his partner/co-worker worked quickly and cleanly and left no mess behind, and provided me with clear before and after photos of the work.

The reason I did not give 5 stars because that would indicate perfection. I am happy with how the work looks but I won't know if my leaking problems have been solved until it rains. overall my experience with the company was great.

I am very happy with the work that was done. They were very professional throughout the entire process. I got immediate responses to all my questions prior to the work being done. On the day of the project they were running late, and instead of just leaving me to wonder when they would show up, Cristian called me to inform me of the delay. Then, when the project was completed, he explained everything that he had done, and answered all my questions. I would definitely recommend this company. They made the entire experience extremely easy and pleasant.
