His work is fast and efficient and he is a very clean worker. He cleans up after his work is finished and he leaves no trace of having been there.

Having used Garrett Building in the past at our 2nd house/kitchen re-build, I had no second thoughts to consult with David/Garrett Building. After 2 brief calls, David arrived assessed the issue,then easily re-positioned the cabinets,counter,electric stove with no cutting. An absolute professional job.

He does a great job.

I did not hire, as the owner of the business did not listen to my needs or desires.

Contacted Dave Garret 5/26 to set up an estimate to repair my fire damaged home. He was not friendly at all and somewhat cocky/rude in his tone. He also said he does not do insurance estimates. He finally agreed to come to give an estimate, as I told him I am it is not an insurance estimate as he is assuming...I simply need my house repaired to be made livable again. He would not even confirm a time frame for Saturday 5/28, just that he would be there on Saturday. I called today, 5/27 to confirm for tomorrow (Sat 5/28), and to ask for a phone call first, as I am not physically gonna be at the property (as it is fire damaged). Once again, he was cocky/rude. How does a business work like this? How can I trust a company do work on the outside and inside of my home if they cannot be friendly and professional? I am left here simply shaking my head. Who needs someone to act like this after just experiencing a house fire? I signed up for Angie's List thinking I would find reputable companies and this is my first experience. Not a good one. Needless to say, I will not be using Garrett Building Co.

Dave did an excellent job, and completed the work ahead of schedule, with no issues with cost or additional extras.
He was extremely professional...polite, prompt, and conscience of his surroundings...but he was also a genuinely nice guy, who I trusted with the house and my family (the first sign of this was when our cat jumped on his lap and sat down, which she literally never does).
Dave's considerable experience was evident in his attention to detail, craftsmanship, and thoroughness in how he performed the work (e.g. The way he braced/reinforced the roof prior to removing the old posts took more work, but ensured the roof was properly supported at the joist/header junction, instead of just propping it up with 2x4s from the ground, which I've typically seen on other jobs).
Dave and his crew cleaned up each day following the construction, and promptly disposed of all the old materials they had removed.
I highly recommend Garrett Building Company (and already have to two of my friends), and would (will, actually) use him again.  Dave does what he says, when he says he will do it, and does it well.  I also thought his cost was very reasonable.

Professional, efficient and always cleaned up after.

They cleaned up the water and redid the floor for me after a flood. He also installed a door. They did a great job. He was very professional.

I was not happy with the price but I was happy with the work.  He was very professional.

Dave was a little higher about 700 then the other quotes - but he seemed
like someone we could trust in our home with an 80+  year old mother or no
one at all - He was great  - nice guy - real professional
He was excellent with the construction, sub floor - installation of tile, tub -vanity
Had a little problem with the final paint - a couple of spots, and a few pencil dots but Dave was willing to come out the next day to resolve.

 

He did great work, first he had to get the permit approved which took over 6 weeks, put down plenty of tarps to keep furniture clean in the house, everything was on budget and on schedule, and he helped coordinate the painting and carpet work that needed to be done, would definitely use again, I ant use to to remodel my bathroom

Dave Garrett was great! We found him through Angie's List! Dave was prompt and wonderful to work with. He made a dated kitchen look modern and elegant. Dave took ownership of the property. We were not able to be there during the project. Dave made sure the property was locked and tidy. There were other contractors in and out who were painting or installing carpet, Dave managed to keep the place in order. When asked if we would use Dave again? ..... Yes. We are saving for the bathrooms now!

Mr. Garret got back to us quickly and was here when he said he'd be.
We had gotten a new gas dryer to replace our electric one, and we needed to upgrade our dryer vent. Dave got this done as well as replacing some leaky parts in the washing machine faucets, and all was well until the installers came and we discovered that the dryer didn't fit back into the cubby it belongs in.  He fixed the position of the vent in the wall, then went in search of the small leak that showed up in the basement when we used the washing machine.
All is well and we are up and running laundry safely and with no leaks.
Mr. Garrett is the best.

I contacted Garrett by email through Angie's List.  I received a prompt return email asking for my address and availability. I responded, but was never contacted again.  Expected better.

Dave provided us with upfront pricing for the job, was able to complete the work within a very reasonable time frame, and was flexible with changes we requested along the way. He did high quality work, with attention to detail. We would hire him again, and would recommend him to others.

Dave Garrett is an excellent builder. I could not be more happy with my new porch. It was a pleasure to work with Dave. I will be using him again to do my bathrooms.

He is awesome! I can't say enough about him, he finished work very quickly and he is extremely professional! He went above and beyond and cleaned up after himself!

I needed to have a small bathroom completely remodeled. While I did not award the project to Garrett Building Co., I am glad the I got to meet the owner, Dave. Dave arrived at my house on time, and exhibited detailed knowledge of all that had to be done. He looked at all issues with the renovation, plumbing, electricity, tile installation, etc. He also gave me some good ideas I didn't think of. His estimate came back in a timely manner. I would definitely consider Garrett Building for my next project.
