Absecon Irrigation

First off, Duane, the owner, told us the work was going to take two days. It turns out the work was completed in less than 6 hours. I turns out that Duane's estimate was inflated and bloated. He delineated every item. Nothing took as long for him to complete as he claimed it would. Adding up the hours on his proposal, he claims the job would take 45.5 hours. With regard to the 9 white pines that were installed, he charged $765 for the trees, and he claimed it was going to take 3 men at 8 hours each to plant them, at $45 an hour, for a total of $1080! It did not take 24 man-hours to plant the trees. With regard to the Kwanzan Cherry tree, it was planted crooked. I asked Duane more than once to come back and stake it. He never did. With regard to the mulching, I paid for cedar mulch. A reputable landscaper was at my home since the installation of the mulch, and he says it is NOT cedar. With regard to the irrigation system, I paid for a new zone, and all he did was add lines to an existing zone. With regard to the yard emitter, which was Duane's idea, this was the worst idea ever! He had the water from the downspout dumping six feet from the house. It was constantly wet and muddy. It had to be taken out. Duane was supposed to come back after our newly built deck was complete and mulch around it. I emailed and called more than once. One time he made an appointment for July 20th. Dale, the receptionist, told me that he would be there, even if he came late. He never showed up and never called! Stay away from this company!
