They do a great job.

It went great for 90% of it.
Shower looks awesome, workers got it done all in one weekend.
However, the last time I had a HOT shower was the day before they started working, which was about a year ago.
Two weeks after they did the job I called Home Depot AND the contractor to tell them about the LUKE WARM water coming out of my shower head. Basically they told me there is some mechanism that regulates the water temperature and that they adjusted it right.
Well I am writing this review because THEY DID NOT ADJUST THE WATER TEMPERATURE CORRECTLY. They refused to come out and fix it so I have NOT had a HOT SHOWER since I stayed at my parent's place in Florida this year. Before my Dad and I flew down to Florida he took a shower in my place and asked me why the water doesn't get hot. I told him that I will need to get a different contractor to fix what Home Depot did to my water.
If Home Depot sees this and agrees to come fix it (would take no more than an hour tops), then I will change my review to a good one. If not, then I will give Home Depot's independent contractor a bad review also. My name is Christine, and I live in a small condo in Edison, NJ.

We took the home depot service for doing this carpet install on 2nd floor and hardwood install on 1st floor. Below are some of the steps we went through:
1. Home depot sent measurement company to measure both the 1st and 2nd floor. 
2. We ordered the carpet and hardwood and related materials based on the measurement.
3. Carpet installation was done first and went smoothly.
4. The issue started with hardwood installation.
     a. The installation was a 2 day process.
     b. Day one installation went fine.
     c. Day two installation is when the installers found that we were short for 100 SQ ft of hardwood. 
     d. Called home depot and they were surprised that we were short and told us that they will order the extra materials and since this was a measurement issue, we will NOT have to pay for the extra materials. 
     e. It took a month and a half for materials to arrive and schedule the remaining installation.
     f. Our house was mess in the mean time. We could not entertain family or friends during that time frame.
     g. We got another call from measurement company saying that they will come and measure the 1st floor again.
     h. The measurement company came the same day as the installers.
     i. There were over 2 boxes left from additional materials ordered which home depot picked in december.
5. The nightmare started a month after the installation was complete.
6. We got the call from Home Depot out of the blue saying that now we owe them for the materials.
7. We never got any bill or email regarding the same.
8. Talked with multiple people at home depot explaining about the situation and every time got the reply saying they will check. 
9. In december spoke with assistant manager and he said they will subtract the remaining amount with returned materials and asked if I was OK with splitting. I agreed so that i could get this closed.
10. Home depot Edison NJ called and said to pay the half amount. this was half amount with out the deduction of the returned materials. I recalled my conversation with assistant manager and they said will get back as usual.
11. Today they called and said that I have to pay this amount or they will send to collections department. Basically played the scare tactic on me. I ended up paying the half amount with out the deduction of the returned materials. 
It is as if people working in Home depot edison either have lousy systems with no records or don't want to listen. 
To summarize, I have wasted easily about 10 hours of my time trying to explain to different person the situation and nobody wants to listen to hardships we had with a toddler in house and with some flooring missing in our 1st floor. All the services were done by home depot and they still managed to create such a big mess. Will NOT go to home depot again. This has really been a lousy experience. I would have been understanding if they knew what they were talking about. The first time they called to collect this balance, they said it was the 10% which if they had looked at the bill would have found to be untrue. Now for the remaining balance when they called, they said they subtracted the returned materials which again was not true. I felt like they were trying to cheat us but gave them the benefit of doubt.
To close this item out I did pay the due amount.

Everything went well with my quote when I called them. They called me right back and were the lowest quote that I received at that time. They were great.

They did not meet my expectations. They were not exceptional or anything like that.

They did a pretty good job. I first approached them in February. The guy came and the estimate was actually little bit more than $5000. I waited and consulted with my wife and researched. They guy who came was down to earth and very friendly. He always kept in touch with us through email. We again got in touch and he was able to work out a better price for me and he was able to give more than year no interest on it. Their price was the lowest that I got. Their quality of work was good. They listened to me about any changes and adjusted when anything needed to be adjusted. I have no complains. They didn't give me a hard time at all. I have another project coming up to work with them. I would use them in the future.

They resolved all the issues related to the project. Their price is high. I would absolutely use them in the future.

I contacted five companies for estimates to replace the gutters and downspouts on my home. Tim Carney came out from The Home Depot. He was on time and very nice. He explained in detail the materials used. I was shocked when he came back from his car after taking the measurements with the price quote of $1616.00!!! This was more than twice the amount of two other quotes I received. I thought it was a joke since he came out on April Fool's Day. He explained that if I accepted within two days I would get a 10% discount. he also said that if I put the job on my Home Depot credit card I would have no payments and no interets for a year. I thanked him for coming, but did not even consider using them with the outrageous estimate. Maybe I would have considered it if it was only slightly higher than the other two estimates. The other issue is that the proposal was not detailed at all. All it said was" Gutters. Downspouts - 1616".

The selection was a little low at Home Depot and this was a do it ourselves shop but otherwise they were good. I mean, we spent hours literally looking at tiles. I can't say they were overly helpful in helping us decide what we wanted but their prices were considerably lower than those at other local tile places in this area.

I was rather impressed with the carpet division at Home Depot. They were very professional and knowledgeable. Now, we have not decided if we will have this work done right away, but if we have it done, we will most likely be using Home Depot. They have good prices, a good selection, and people who truly know what they are talking about.

They are helpful at this nursery and they will take time to assist you. Their prices are not the highest, but not the lowest either. I would use them again. They also do nice arrangement work and can offer some good ideas.

Home Depot said they would be at my house between noon and seven. At 7:10 p.m. they arrived. Then, they did not have their proper equipment. They were impersonal and I would not use them again. I was also a little upset because in addition to the money I already gave them they tried to charge me more.

Home Depot is a place that may charge a little more money. Therefore, I usually check with Sears first or Wal-Mart or someplace like that. I do like the hours at Home Depot, though. I also really like the fact that the people there are very helpful and they know what they are talking about. I want to shop at places that hires knowledgeable people. I get that at Home Depot. For that reason, I like using them for large purchases like that of my refrigerator.

I WAS NOT PLEASED WITH THIS COMPANY. FIRST, THEY DID NOT SHOW UP WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. WE HAD TO WAIT A YEAR FOR THEM TO COME INSTALL THEM. SECOND, THEY DIDN'T SHOW UP ON TIME WHEN THEY FINALLY DID COME. I JUST DIDN'T CARE FOR THEIR SERVICES.

THE WORKERS ARRIVED ON TIME, WERE VERY COURTEOUS AND DID A GREAT JOB WITH THE INSTALLATION. THEY ALSO CLEANED UP ALL THE DEBRIS FROM THE OLD AND NEW CARPETING.
