Photography
My wedding was in 2009 and I received my final wedding pictures in 2012.
Every picture was awful. They took a group photo with the bride and groom situated in the back and 20 people in front when it should have been the other way around. This is the type of basic photography skills that were lacking. I did point this out to Chirali (Fine Arts Rep) to no avail. I also pointed out that our place setting table didn't feature in any of the photos and I was disappointed because we had spent a lot of time and money on the decor. To prove my point, I forwarded photos to Chirali from a guest which were much better than anything Fine Arts had produced. Unfortunately by this point they had our deposit and there was nothing we could do. The videography was uncreative. They took random footage which was edited poorly.
The only time Fine Arts was responsive was at our initial meeting with them as they were pitching their services. It was a farce. The last three years were spent trying to obtain a response or feedback. People rarely answered the telephone and if they did we were told a message would be passed to Chirali and that my call would be returned. I would call/email constantly before a Chirali would get back to me. When I addressed the lack of response to Chirali, she responded by telling me her personal circumstances did not allow her to reply to me for 3 months.
When we were finally told our album was ready for review, my husband was informed he had to make the journey from Manhattan to New Jersey to choose our album and confirm we were happy with the pictures. We spent money on renitng a car and took our baby all the way to New Jersey only to be told upon arrival, that Chirali was not available and there was nothing to review. We were told we could take a look at somebody elses album, which was nonsensical.
Leaving Fine Arts very confused, I followed up with Chirali. Chirali failed to provide us with an explanation as to why we had to make the trip to their studio when there was nothing to review. She subsequently stated that we were never to have choice in choosing an album cover and that there would only be one provided according to our contract. This in itself was false, because upon our initial meeting in 2009 we were shown a number of albums and were told we could choose which ever we wanted. There is nothing in our contract stating anything of the kind.
After three years of back and forth we decided that instead of taking the awful album cover they were proposing or even arguing the point we would just take the pictures and buy an album cover elsewhere. By this point we were exhausted and wanted nothing more to do with Fine Arts. Once we had the pictures in hand, we didn't have to deal with them again.
I have seen numerous wedding pictures and photos, and can safely say an amateur could have done a better job. What made this experience all the more painful, was the poor customer service after the deposit and fees had been paid. I have numerous email's and phone bills to back up my claims.
The points raised above are just a few of the issues we had which should provide some indication of the level of service.
Fine Arts is a vendor that claims to provide a good service which doesn't exist.
Fine Arts has recently contacted me to ask me to take down my earlier review. I made it clear that had they listened to all my concerns during my time as their customer they may have been able to remedy the situation. At no point until discovering my review on Angies List had I been contacted or asked what they could do to change my opinion of them.
Having seen the owners respons to my initial review, I have taken it upon myself to ensure I provide as much detail as possible to give an accurate description of my experience. I have also informed Fine Arts I cannot take down my review because it would be dishonest. I am a member of Angies List on the basis that I am reading fair and accurate reviews. To take down this review would defeat the whole point of being a member and using their service.
Maybe this will prompt Fine Arts to change the way they do business and ensure they provide good customer service and good value for money.

Response from Fine Art Productions
"We delivered all the products to their satisfaction when they came to pick up from our studio, even after we have received picture selection after more than one year from their wedding. They were Happy customer when we delivered all the final products. If they have any issues, we should have been contacted first, which we never experienced. We request you to contact studio for any issues which have been not resolved. thank you, Amish Thakkar Owner & CEO."
