De Falco's Service Center

Took them 3 hours to show up to tow my car and then they refused to take my car anywhere other than their own service center on Plainfield Avenue in Edison, NJ. So I had my car towed to their service center which looks like nothing more than a parking lot with a shack in the middle of it. They asked me to pay my towing bill in their shack / shop and I was almost floored to discover that they wanted to charge $500 for a 3.5 mile car tow. They claim that their use of a large flatbed truck and that gas costs more. Over the phone they had quoted only $125 for the tow service because it was only 3.5 miles. So now I had to pay 4 times more because of their dishonesty and had no way to get my car to its original destination which was my own auto repair shop. I had to call another tow truck company that had to tow from DeFalco's to the new location. That other tow truck company did the tow for $75. One of the worst service experiences I ever had was dealing with DeFalco's and their dishonesty. My insurance & credit card company are both fighting them for their dishonest estimate and overcharging. Whatever you do, stay away from Mike DeFalco & Bill DeFalco at DeFalco's. If you insist on using their services, make sure to protect yourself & fight them on their dishonest charges by paying with a credit card if you were unfortunate to have had the same dishonest service experience as I had.
