Great! Chris Burrows has been a huge asset to have found during this purchase and moving process that we have currently been going through. Chris came by to do an inspection on a condo that we eventually purchased and was extremely thorough with everything and explained everything very clearly. After the purchase, and during the sale, Chris's resources were incredibly helpful. Everyone that I called, when I referenced who sent me to them, spoke very highly of Chris. We used his HVAC and Mold Remediation references and they have been incredible, I know for a fact the mold remediation person saved us money over who we originally had. *Please note I forget the exact cost. It was between $400 and $500.

Chris performed a very thorough inspection of a house that my wife and I were looking to purchase. The house was build in 1919 and 2 of 3 floors were completely remodeled. Chris did a great job identifying and pointing out areas that weren't remodeled, and possibly defective. He shed a lot of light on various issues and went the extra mile to explain them to us... Great job all around

Chris did a great job inspecting and communicating everything.  He was very detailed and performed a few courtesies at no extra charge.  Since this is an investment property, I appreciate the fact that he leaned towards the cautious side when explaining how certain concerns that could lead to greater problems.  The report was detailed and well written.

Chris was extremely professional and thorough. My realtor had never worked with Chris and thought he was too much of an alarmist. I certainly think Chris can do a better job in evaluating the degree to which various issues are problematic. However, the inspection report does come across as suggesting everything needs to be replaced.
That aside, I do wish I took some of his concerns more seriously. For example, he noted serious problems with the roof. I got another inspector just to look at the roof who didn't think the problems were as serious as Chris indicated. However, a few months after I moved into the home, the roof started leaking significantly. It was resolved after a couple of minor patchings by a roofer. 
If you know you're the type of person to be alarmed or overconcerned, then perhaps Chris is not the right guy for you. Problems in the inspection report are not a reason to not buy a home. I'm certainly glad I decided to go ahead with the purchase anyways and if I got hung up by all the things Chris mentioned, I might have lost the home. 
But in terms of the quality of his work, he clearly knows his stuff.

I live in a condo in Jersey City I'm purchasing from my landlord, and Chris did a great job pointing out a lot of flaws that I had no idea about though I live here. He was very pleasant, punctual, and went above and beyond with his inspection, checking the roof of our 7 story building for access and checking the basement. He even gave me on opinion that lead testing is most likely a waste with the building having been completed gutted and rehab'd in 1986. Thus, I think he is thorough and his price is completely fair and he does not try to press you into things you don't need.

Extremely thorough home inspection. He pointed out problem areas and explained why they were a concern. While I understand why, it would be useful to provide a better explanation as to the level of risk involved with some deficiencies i.e. whether it's truly a deal breaker. You may be able to extract this through conversation, but it is not necessarily apparent from the report received.

This is the second time I’ve had a home inspection done by Chris, and his level of service was as great this time as the first. He’s responsive, on-time, thorough in his inspection, and provided a great report to both me and the seller on an extremely fast timeline. While performing the inspection, he took the time to walk me through each of the items he noticed with the unit and gave very practical advice and easy-to-understand explanations. His fee was very reasonable, especially compared to the cost of other inspectors I’ve seen in the listings, and I felt I got a great value for my money. I would definitely recommend him and will be using his services for any other inspection needs I have in the future.

Fantastic service. We were very pleased with Chris. He came on time and explained everything in details. Even the most stupid questions I had was answered. Besides all, he also sent the inspection report the next day. He didn't rush and just was very professional. I would recommed him.

BUYER BEWARE...we hired Chris to do an inspection for our condo purchase. He SEEMED thorough and professional but MISSED EXPENSIVE ISSUES and totally failed to do his job. After receiving his report (detailing only minor issues and aesthetic issues) we were not concerned about the condition of our new home but after moving in 2 weeks ago some major issues were revealed that he missed. We had a major plumbing issue that even the plumbers noted he should have seen during the inspection. We also had a leak in a sink which he never mentioned, a second toilet issue and an oven that filled our kitchen with smoke. This company is not thorough and gives you a false sense of comfort. Do yourself a favor and hire someone else.

Chris showed up about five minutes before 8 am, our agreed upon meeting time. He go right to work walking through the space. He started out by giving my wife, myself and our realtor a game plan - I'm going to do this first, then we'll do this, then this, then I'll finish with this, etc. He spent nearly two hours in the unit with us and was beyond thorough, even point out two loose boards in the living room. He climbed up on to the roof of the building even though our unit is on the first floor. Examined the common areas, gave us some insight in to old wiring and potential impacts of some electrical issues we found and made us feel comfortable about the unit. He pointed out all of the issues but never in a way that scared us or went over the top. His final report was amazing - detailed, color photos of all of the issues. Our lawyer even commented on review how wonderful the inspection was. Chris was pleasant, professional and thorough. Would definitely use him again and recommend him to anyone who needs an inspector. He turned our report around in 24 hours due to a tight timeline the sellers added to our contract. Great experience.

During the inspection, Chris tried to help us understand what major or minor problems should be considered in each and every room of the unit. He's very nice to patiently answer to however many questions we asked as first-time home buyers. After the inspection, Chris made a very through report with helpful pictures. It was definately pleasure to have him for the inspection of our new home.

We worked with Chris on an inspection of a 900 square foot condo in Jersey City and cannot say enough great things about the work he did. I immediately noted Chris’ professionalism during our first conversation when he walked me through his process and timeline. During the inspection itself Chris moved throughout the condo in a detailed and thorough manner. Every step of the way Chris explained what he was looking for as well as any findings and potential issues that may arise. After completing a very thorough inspection he took a few minutes to speak with me and provide me an overview of his findings. Following the inspection we received a comprehensive report that included an executive summary as well as a section with detailed explanations and photographic support for all findings.

Chris started through the house and I asked him if I could point out to him what I found when I toured the condo. He wanted to see what I found. I showed him the damage to the floors caused by the radiator and also the fuse box. When I pointed out the fuse box he told me that it was a good find on my part and told me that it needed to be replaced, in addition he also told me that I needed to upgrade my electric input into the condo because it was too little for the condo. He was also able to recognize water spots that had been covered up with popcorn and paint. He went over the plumbing with a fine tooth comb point out that the shut off valves may need replacing soon as they were showing some rust. He also made a point to show us that the headers above some of the doorways were also sloping to one side. He left no stone unturned and I was very impressed. His inspection report is lengthy approx. 24 pages details all of his findings, deficiencies backed up with photos. He will also send a copy directly to your lawyer if you want him to.

Chris was amazing, punctual and very professional. Inspection was thorough and concise. There was no stone left unturned, as they say. He checked all electrical and plumbing, checked every room for water damage, checked all cooling and heating units. He checked all floors, walls and ceilings. The bathroom and kitchen were expertly checked out. His report was comprehensive and included pictures of the deficiencies and damages. It made the purchase decision-making process much easier. I will recommend Chris to everyone.

Chris arrived early and had already inspected the exterior and was let in by the Realtor to start on the interior by the time we arrived. He took me back outside to show me his findings so far and proceeded to do the same for the rest of the inspection. He was very easy to understand and thorough without being overly alarming. I felt comfortable asking him to clarify or explain more as needed, and appreciated that he did not dumb anything down for me as a first-time home buyer. The inspection report came via email three days later as promised, along with the wood destroying insect report and radon test results. The report was quite long and included quite a few annotated photographs, and was very thorough and clear. He also included notes on mold, even though that is not required in a home inspection. I would highly recommend Chris and would certainly call on him again.

He was really thorough and he did a really good job. He was on top of everything and he answered all the questions. I didn't have any complaints. He took time for 780 square-foot apartment. He took two hours to go through the place. He climbed to the roof and went to the basement. He did everything that he was supposed to do. I have been there months now and I haven't had any issue. The price was comparable. I don't remember asking him to do a certain thing and he didn't do it. He was great.

Prompt - arrived before the scheduled time so that he could start inspecting the exterior of the property
Detailed - Plenty of pictures
Final report - thorough, delivered early, and very detailed
Follow through - returned the next day to pick up the radon test
He was able to catch a few significant issues that I had overlooked (which is why you hire a professional). His impartial and detailed report made follow-up negotiations with the sellers relatively stress free.
Would definitely use him, or recommend him to anyone.
