$4,000
Owner came in two days to assess the problem. Determined what had to be done and gave me the estimate. Came back with a crew in a week. Installed French drain and sump pump in one day. Crew was courteous, professional and friendly. Cleaned up beyond our expectations. Would highly recommend.

Randy and his crew did an excellent job today waterproofing my basement. I started the process of looking for a company to do this task in November. Got 2 quotes and then the holidays came and this project was put off. After the new year got 2 more quotes, one of which was Randy's company MMRG. The 4 companies I got estimates from were all highly rated online. However, after meeting with all of them, it was clear that MMRG was the company to use. MMRG was different than the others. No high pressure sales and pitching /upselling of things that we didn't necessarily need to take care of the problem. Randy was extremely knowledgeable and explained each step his workers would perform thoroughly. He worked around my busy schedule and was always respectful. Now to what I'm sure everything wants to know about, price. Out of the 4 quotes, Randy's price was the best out of all of them. That was not the only reason we went with them but I'm sure it's important to know for all that are reading. When Randy and his crew got to my house today, they went over the procedure of what was to happen again. They also included some extra work which they thought would improve the design of the system, at no extra charge to the price originally discussed. His workers were just as respectful as he was. They prepped all areas that they were going to walk through and left them as clean as before they walked into the house. If I ever need anything in the mold, basement waterproofing, or other areas that Randy's company MMRG specializes in, they will be the first and only call I'll need to make.

$6,500
My wife and I purchased a 1970's colonial (4 bedrooms - approximately 2,250 sq ft.) with a lot of mold in the attic.  The attic vent fan was seized and there was inadequate ventilation to prevent the growth of mold over time.  It was identified during our routing inspection, but required a mold test to confirm.
Randy from MMRG came out to do a mold test while we were in negotiation with the seller; the price for the test itself was $225, which is included in the $6,500 above and seemed like a pretty comparable fee across mold companies ($200 - $300).  He explained the process and risks during this time.  After getting a quote from Randy, I shopped around a little bit and did not find another company that I liked as much (there seems to be a prevalent use of scare tactics in this industry).  Randy worked with me a little bit on the scope of work and the pricing to arrive at the $6,500 number.
I scheduled MMRG to come the day after closing on the house; they arrived promptly, were very professional, and worked all day to get the job done quickly.
I was ripping up carpet from the hardwood on the same day and Randy let me dispose of the carpet and padding in the dumpster they contracted (included in price), and when Randy was "just getting in the way of his workers in the attic" I found him on the stairway pulling up carpet and staples for me!
While I find these services in general to be quite expensive and difficult to feel good about spending the money on (have to believe the mold is an issue and trust that the remediation method is effective), I was very happy to use a company that was friendly, professional, and went the extra mile to make sure that their customers are satisfied.
