Worked with Paul Carsillo. Appreciated that he focused on the job I asked him to do without trying to expand it to include other things (which would have increased the cost, of course). We wanted to get the work done before winter. He got the work done within a week after I contacted him. (Keep in mind that it was a fairly small job taking only one day and could be fit in between bigger jobs if some slack opened up, which happened. This might  not be possible if it was bigger, requiring more than one day.) He was responsive and professional. A Vietnam Veteran who does good work.

Arrived early with his son and a helper, and worked all day. Did a first rate job. Came back the following day to wash down the steps and remove the barricade.
Suggest that you get a written rather than verbal estimate. We had a verbal estimate and were unaware (or perhaps had forgotten) that it did not include all materials. Final price was therefore a little higher than we expected. We were happy to pay it since we were pleased with the workmanship.

A meticulous craftsman with years of experience, Paulie was on site and hands on for the entire job. They arrived on time, did the job efficiently, and left the site cleaner than they found it! And also, the price was fair and square. I was definitely in good hands with P.A. Carsillo & Sons.

They Carsillo team arrived right on time and began work right away. They were quiet and efficient workers! Also, they were careful of our bushes and left things cleaner than they found them - even blowing the dust away in the street when they were finished. The work they did was excellent and my husband and I are extremely pleased with the job. The steps look amazing.
We would definitely use them again and are proud to recommend them.

I contacted P.A. Carsillo and Sons immediately because I knew the job would be done properly. Paul arranged to come out early the following Sunday morning 4/6/14 to provide an estimate. He thoroughly explained the repairs needed and how long the job would take. However, when I asked how much, he gave me an estimate (about $2600.00) which was close to three times what the job was worth. When he saw the expression on my face, he asked what other estimates I received; I told him $800.00. To be honest, I don't know of anyone who base their prices on someone else's estimate. He then revised his estimate to $950.00 without explaining the severe drop in price but did say he would do some additional work without charge. Since I was already familiar with his quality workmanship, I decided to hire him and forgive the variation in pricing. This was a small job. He told me the job would take only a couple of days and I would be hearing from him. He called the next day to explain some changes he needed to make on how he intended to repair the steps. I asked for a written contract and when would the job be completed, he said next week. Since my past experience with this contractor in the year 2012 was outstanding (responsive, punctual, fair pricing, written contract, quality work) ; I trusted he would keep his word. I am disappointed; I expected the same professional treatment I received in the past. He's gotten two referrals from me since 2012 and both referrals are very satisfied with his work. Needless to say, its been three weeks and no word from this company. Maybe they are overwhelmed with work, but a simple phone call was all that was needed. I am given this company the benefit of the doubt; we all have bad days and rated them with a and quot;Cand quot; grade. I will hire another contractor.

P A was very good. He came right away, gave me an estimate, seemed to be reasonable, and I'll think about using him in the spring, but I never got a hold of the other contractors though.

Paul and his son's arrived at my home around 8 AM on Monday morning. They started tearing out the sidewalk and was finished after a couple hours of and quot;hardand quot; work. They had all of the proper tools to get the sidewalk in front of my home completely ripped out. They put some wood framing around where the cement was going to go and it was as close to perfect as you can possibly be. When the cement truck arrived they started spreading the cement and came out as close to perfect as I can imagine it could be. Once they were finished they roped off the area to prevent people from walking on it. They came back the next day to get the items used for the barriers. Very good/professional crew and I think I may have gone from the worst sidewalk on the street to the best.

Paul and his son and team showed up as scheduled and worked on my job until it was finished later that week. They did a great job, the repaired patio looks better than the original! The front porch and steps are perfect, they were also very good about repairing some areas on the edges so that maintenance would be easier with time. I would recommend them without hestitation!

Anthony  completed a re-build of the front porch and sidewalk  at my father's house in Nov 2011.
He has no contractors and completed the work himself along with his family which is very unique..
There was a lot of salt damage to the porch and he was able to avoid replacing the entire porch.
He replaced only the steps, brick and sidewalk as needed

All work was completed very neatly. The crew arrived promptly and worked extremely hard until the work was completed. The crew cleaned up after themselves and left the areas in which they had worked very clean.
Carsillo and Sons did a beautiful and extremely neat job in demolishing and then replacing a large retaining wall in the front of my home in 2011- which is why I contacted them again this year.
I will definitely contact P.A. Carsillo and Sons again for any future masonry work that needs to be done. They are the BEST!

Company was found in local newspaper ads. After obaining several estimates and still unsatisfied; I called this company as a last resort. My call was immediately returned and an appointment was scheduled for the following Saturday morning. Mr. Carsilloarrived on time and a description of the job needed was explained. Mr. Carsillo was very thorough and professional in explaining what needed to be done. He explained all options and prices and did not hesitate to answer any questions I asked. He even went the extra step to go to his business three times that morning to bring back samples of the materials that would be used. He told me he and his workers would arrive early Monday morning to begin working until the job was completed. I took a chance and hired him on the spot based on our conversation and his level of expertise. He is down to earth and to the point. His company arrived 8:00 a.m. Monday morning, worked all day and returned the next day to complete the job. The job took two days and I am completely satisfied with my choice. He did everything promised and then some. I thought the estimate was fair compared to other estimates previously obtained. My next door neighbor was impressed with the job performed and hired him to work on her property.

The masonry work that was completed by Carsillo and Sons was outstanding! The brick laying work was extremely neat and professionally done. The crew arrived early and promptly each morning and worked tirelessly all day. The crew also cleaned up thoroughy after themselves every day. I could not be more pleased by the work that was completed. I recommend P.A. Carsillo and Sons highly and without reservation.
