Kirk and his team did a great job. The price was very competitive. After they removed and disposed of the wall to walk carpeting, they refinished floors that were covered for 30 years. The floors needed an additional treatment to fill in floor gaps due to movement over the years. Viking Floor took care of it all

Had our first floor refinished last week. Viking did excellent work. Courteous and good communication, from getting the estimate through scheduling and completing the job. Great job of cleaning up and really minimizing the dust as well. Will use again when we tackle the second floor!

Viking Floors did an absolutely beautiful restoration of our hardwood floors. They were punctual, patient with our decision-making process, and helped us walk through the process of choosing the right stain color. At first it was great. Then the floor started to separate in the kitchen. They had the flooring company come in and look at it. They claimed it had been installed incorrectly but that if we "cut out" our kitchen cabinets it would allow the rest of the floor to float. Unfortunately we had designed custom cabinets with no trim, but we had no choice. We cut out the floors by the kitchen cabinets. Six months after that "fix", the floors are separating worse than ever and Viking claims they can't do anything more. They are a TERRIBLE company to work with. Be warned...they do not stand behind their product.

I did not end up paying the last third of it because I had a list of things that were not correct. I didn't pay about $1,300. The job started out okay but then they made a very bad error in the kitchen because they tried to take a shortcut. I confronted them. The owner did not supervise the job, he had a lead guy. The owner understood and admitted that they should have talked to me first. They said that they would redo it but he said they had another job first. I said that was fine and I ended up waiting another 3 weeks without a kitchen. I can't even explain how horrible the job is. It is to the point where I have to have it redone. In addition they did a lot of damage to my bannister and molding so it has to be redone. I regret having paid any of the money upfront because it has to be redone. The initial price was fair. I would never use them again.

We were very disappointed with the quality of the work. There were ripples in the floor from the sander and the sanding on the stair treads was very poor especially in the corners. Additionally the workers were sloppy in performing the work and nicked the freshly painted walls in many places, two requiring spackle to fill the gouges, they spattered stain on the wall over about 6 square inches and removed the stain from about four square inches of freshly refinished trim.

Tyler came out and gave a very competitive reasonable price estimate which included moving furniture, dustless sanding, and doing 4 coats of water based poly. He remained in communication and arrived on the scheduled time and date to start the work. He also completed the work when he said he would. Tyler's crew was very courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. They worked very hard since removing a finish from a pre-finished floor is more time consuming. The results were excellent. The floor looks great and I have received many compliments from people who have seen the final results that are in the building industry. If you are looking for flooring work I would highly recommend Tyler and his crew. He is easy to work with and communicates well.

They were helpful and professional. They did thoroughly professional work. The quality of the job surpassed anything I expected and they cleaned up everything after themselves.

I was very happy with the result. My floors were a disaster from my kids and had water damage in the kitchen. Viking helped move my stuff ( big savings) and then applied more coats then the competitors (w/ Bona). They sealed and covered all of my doors and cabinets. Then they perfectly matched the stain to the rest of the house. Once the job started they were on time and finished when they said they would. The workmen were very nice and clean. Wished everything went this great.

It went so well. Our new kitchen floor looks just like new. It's beautiful and we love it! An added bonus, we felt, was that the owner, Linda Litland, came over after the work was completed to check out the work and give us the correct mop and cleaning agent to maintain our new floor. She also gave us an article on how to care for our wood flooring in addition to giving us many other tips. Everyone in the crew is very knowlegable and professional.
