I was recommended to this mortgage broker by my agent who said that my existing pre-approval from by bank was likely to be a potential negative in the eyes of the seller. Understanding full well the racket that the local agent, brokers and lawyers in town have with each other, I decided the path of least resistance was to just go ahead and use Pinnacle. Never again! They are incredibley incompetent (Jim Loch especially) and the quintessential Jersey fast talkers (you can't pin them down, their story changes regularly, and we actually got into several heated discussions, until you make it clear you're not an idiot they will try to take advantage of you or so it feels that way). I've worked in the financial industry for more than a decade and still felt this way. My initial application was full of errors from start to finish as my financial documents were transposed incorrectly. I followed up on this and I was made to feel that it was "my fault". Communication and guidance throughout the process was basically terrible. Deadlines were missed and I was forced to follow up on multiple occasions to make sure the process continued to move forward. Untimately the deal got done but I would note recommend these people to my worst enemy. STAY AWAY! PLEASE don't give these people any more business.
