MOORE's TREE SERVICE

They are excellent. They know what they're doing and are very experienced.

If you are going to use this service, and if they are working on trees that are near your neighbors, please talk to your neighbors, because Moore's Tree Service will not.  Common courtesy is not part of their service.

The company removed trees from my neighbor's property (recently sold).  I believe it's to prepare for a demo & new build.  The are removing several trees; one is a huge old growth tree that sits on the property line with my house (oak or elm, at least 7 stories tall).  I DID NOT receive any communication prior to the service commencing, written or verbal.  I came home and found large limbs/branches in my backyard (big & heavy - I couldn't move them). 
I went to talk to the employee who was doing the work.  He sent someone over immediately to clean up the branches and apologized, saying his boss was supposed to let me know about the work.  Then he said, "you're the third person this month this has happened to".  I suggested he start knocking on doors if he thinks his work will affect the neighbors, but I doubt this will happen.  Another nail in the coffin of neighborliness and being considerate to those around you.

Tree came down blocking all cars in our driveway. Moore was there within an hour.

They had a good price and delivered the wood on time. I had no problems with the service.

My gardener recommended a friend who wanted $1200 and I found Moore in the West essex Tribune and called for an estimate. His estimate was for only $800. I spoke to several references he gave me, some of which I knew personally and they were glowing. He came the following week as he said. He had thought it would take one day but it rained so it took two. No payment up front. When he returned to get paid I went over the work and he trimmed another tree that he thought was not originally included but did not charge more. Good work, very pleasant and easy to work with

We received several estimates and Moore was the lowest. We knew he had been in town for many years however we did not have anyone we could ask (other then names provided by the company) as to their experience. On the initial visit it was when trees were not in bloom they appeared to do a decent job. The owner asked to be paid when they finished and we paid him in full. As a few weeks went on it became apparent that much more pruning should have been performed. We called the owner many times, we always said he would be back in a few days and never came back. We never asked that the additional work be performed at no charge. After calling for months and months it was apparent in our opinion they were not a professional, reliable company.

We had a storm in the area, so I was glad that they were able to trim the branch that was dangling over our home. We were not at home at the time, so they just went ahead and did the work. They cleaned everything up. They did not require the money up front. When they came back to grind the stumps, I was glad they gave us the mulch. It was a good experience to use a company that did such a good job and trusted us to pay them when the job was done.
