The actual fence installed was a grade 3. There are different grades they offer and I thought I was getting getting a better quality. They were not honest about the materials and work they did. They needed to dig more than 2 feet for the foundation, I found out later this was not done and it's a shallow foundation and now everything is sagging. I am very unhappy with this provider.

Not only do they install fences badly but they don't stand behind their work. After one year one of my fence posts started to sink in the key is no longer level. It's took three calls to even get someone out here from GM to assess the problem. Now they want to charge me $650 to fix what should've been installed correctly.

We didn't end up going with them and went with somebody else. They were very helpful on the phone with scheduling and having somebody come over, but then the guy who came was kind of rude to my wife and that's why we ended up not going with them. We had three people to come and give us estimates and the suggestions this guy was giving us was different from what the others were suggesting we do. My wife said that this other guy came in and suggested that we do this or that and asked what did he think about it, but he completely dismissed it and basically ignored her asking the question and just continued to do what he was going to do anyway.

Once the yard was measured, the estimate took a couple of days to come. Price was middle of road compared to the other 5 estimates I received, but decided to use GM fence due to their longevity in the area. Was told they would install within 4 week of putting down the deposit, but was more like 6-7 weeks. Had to make several phone calls to find out when the material was coming in and when the fence would be installed. The workers come out on a very rainy day, but still dug all the holes (by hand) and installed 1/4 of the fence on the first day. Since the next couple of days were rain outs, they come in over Memorial Day weekend to finish. They did a nice job. Had it up for ~ 6 weeks and no complaints yet. I would use them again.

A man answered the phone and gave me a rough estimate on the job. Professionalism over the phone was severely lacking - no "Hi" or "Good-Bye". Maybe it was just a bad day, but its not a great way to run a company. It certainly made me cross them off my list.

It didn't go well as they never followed up with a call for an estimate. Perhaps they didn't need my business!?!

They did a very good job and I will use them again in the future.

They gave me a good price. All the materials were around $3000. I got the best quote on the materials from them. They were at least $1000 cheaper than the next guy. They gave me the products I was looking for. The stuff they gave me is all pretty good. They did okay for what I got. I would use their services in the future too.

Great work all around. Joe was prompt, friendly, and informative during his visit to measure and prepare a quote. His office staff was also great following up with arrangements after we agreed on the job. The crew that installed the fence was courteous and efficient - they did a big job in two long days - arriving (mostly) on time and cleaning up well afterwards. The price we paid was better than two other quotes and for a better product. My only (minor) complaint was that the quote wasn't very detailed. When discussing the job, we talked about the kinds of gates, grade of lumber, sizing of posts, etc. and the quote didn't specify all these details. I annotated the contract and GM delivered exactly what we discussed for the price we agreed on, so there was no harm. I do think it's good practice to have a detailed quote though, even if you do run a high integrity operation like GM does. Our friends, family, neighbors, and (especially) dog love the fence. Highly recommended.

They were very responsible and professional but I chose another company because they had a better price. The estimate was free, they were prompt, and they came out the next day. I don?t think their price was too far off from the company that I chose. They were very responsible, efficient, and they came right away.

They interactions with the company were good from beginning to end. The person who came to do the estimate came out quickly and on time and was very friendly and helpful (when I said that we were probably going to stain the fence white he suggested getting a lower grade cedar they have which would save us some money). The installers came on time and finished the job in one day. They did very nice work, followed the plans perfectly and worked around some minor changes we had to make because of zoning. They were also nice about changing the gate hardware from inside the fence to outside after I had mistakenly told them to put them on the wrong way. We are very happy with the fence and our experience with GM Fence.

The installation crew arrived on time and completed the work per the contract. I am pleased with the end result.

GM Fence was so prompt that they were early. This was very nice. They were very reliable. I was impressed with their efficiency and professionalism. They were also very neat and took all of the old fence sections away. They even left me with extra pickets in case I might need them in the future.

We were promised a 4-6 week installation. After not receiving a call, I call them, the person answering the phone told me they would get back to me. I called them back after four hours. She scheduled the installation for August 10th after much negotiation.
