The process was quick and easy. They found carpenter ant nests on our outside deck. The serviceman said that if I still saw ants in 2 weeks to call back. In the meantime, I wanted to have all the infested and deteriorated wood on the deck replaced and then have the deck power washed and repainted. Obviously, this took a little time to receive new wood and have my contractor re-install wood, power wash and re-paint. It seemed illogical to call the exterminator back before all of this was redone. When completed, I called the exterminator to return since I still saw carpenter ants on the deck, this was on July 19th. At that point, they informed me that the free call back visit expired in 30 days from the date of original service (Previously, I was not told about this 30 day window). Had I known, I could have easily had them come within the 30 days but only to have the product power washed and/or removed with the lumber, which seemed to be a waste of their time. In retrospect, I should have had them make a wasted visit and then another after the deck work was completed, just to stay within their 14-30 guideline, but I felt that it was inappropriate until the work on the deck was completed. The result is that I still have ants and they will not return without additional payment.
