He's excellent. He's an older gentleman who's very meticulous in his work. He's very clean and very quiet. He takes his time.

William Stepps did an great job, arrived with all tools and equipment. He worked at his own pace and the job took a bit longer then he said it would. Very meticulous. He arrived late for the job and did not call me to let me know that he would be late. However, this was a job well done and I would call him again if needed.

Bill was excellent being very prompt, communicative, and professional!!! he quoted me a price and did it for that price in a very timely manner and even did a great job cleaning up so it was as if he had never been here at all, well except for the work he did.! I would definitely hire him again and recommend him to others!

He is most certainly meticulous and will do his work independently. He likes to start early and is reluctantly flexible when it comes to timings but the work he does, he does very well. He's a one man show but does the work right.

Forget it. Look elsewhere. Months ago I had hired this electrician for several jobs including an upgraded fuse panel, and a full house electrical inspection which included fixing, changing, and upgrading anything he warranted needed to be done for safety. I paid Mr. Stepps in full promptly for all work which amounted to many thousands of dollars. The most important job I needed was to inspect all electrical work to ensure it was safe. This was of paramount importance to me since I had an electrical fire many years ago, was renting, had no insurance, and lost everything. So I hired Mt. Stepps. He was often late, sometimes even an hour, and was frequently rude and nasty to the point where I even told him he had a short fuse and to speak to me with respect as I am a paying customer. Mr. Stepps' work included changing/installation of electrical outlets as he deemed necessary. A couple of weeks after he did the full house inspection I came home one day to a house full of smoke. I called and he did come right over. It was the sump pump in the basement that was burning. Mr. Stepps said, and quot;I never thought to check the sump pump.and quot; NOW getting to today...I came home yesterday, 8/11/2013 to a burning smell in my home. I went though the rooms trying to figure out where the smell was originating while thinking I don't think I could live through another fire. I found the burning smell was concentrated near one particular outlet that Mr. Stepps had worked on. I called Mr. Stepps and left a message on his machine. I called my family while I was thinking that if the smell gets worse I will have to flee my home with my pets. The burning smell began to subside, but I still needed an electricain to inspect the situation as I was fearful a fire might break out in the wiring. I called Mr. Stepps again a half hour later and left another message on his machine. I don't expect anyone to be standing by their phone 24/7, but Mr. Stepps' Angie's List page clearly states he is available 24/7 for emergencies. Mr. Stepps did not return my call until eight hours later. I called him back and got his machine again and left another message that I was concerned the outlet may cause a fire and hoped he could get to inspect it soon. I said I would wait by my phone for his call. It was noon today by the time I got to talk to Mr. Stepps. I was shocked to find him rude, nasty, and disrespectful over the phone. He shouted in a condescending manner, and said he couldn't get to my home today to inspect the outlet. I told him I was worried a fire might break out, and that the outlet was one that he had worked on. He shouted at me that I should shut off the circuit breaker. When I asked him which one it is, his verbal abuse escalated. After taking Mr. Stepps' verbal abuse for a couple of minutes, I finally told him to go to h*** and hung up on him. I then called another electrician I found on Angie's List who came right over, was respectful, professional, and promptly changed the faulty outlet.

Bill is very experienced and professional. He did a great job for us so we passed the township inspection after Bill fixed our problem. Thank you, Bill.

Although it was a small job, Bill was very responsive. Returned my call promptly and was at my house within a few days.

William Stepps has done a lot for me. He's done some electrical outlets and some lights in my attic. He had to take the old exhaust fan down and do a lot of re-wiring. I like his service and his price. He's very good and straightforward. He's not Mr. Personality, but he tells you what has to be done and then he does. He stands by his word. If you call him and make an appointment, he'll be there and on time. He shows up, does his job, cleans up after himself beautifully, you pay him and he goes away. He's what you want in a service guy. He does a good job. I'd use him again in a heartbeat.

I called 3 electricians on Sunday and Bill was the only one to return my call on the same day that I left the message. He came by the very next day. Bill was professional, honest, and thorough. I will use him again, as well as refer him to others.

The main circuit breaker on my entire house tripped 3 times within a 24-hour period. The power company (PSEand amp;G) said there were no service outages, so I needed to call an electrician to check my power panel.
I read many positive reviews on Angie's list for Bill's work. He was local and offered emergency service.
I called him shortly before Noon on July 8 2012; Bill returned my call within 15 minutes and arrived at my home within another 30 minutes.
He carefully observed the problem and determined that one connection coming from the power meter had loosened enough to cause my problems.
Bill tightened up the connection and checked all other breaker connections in the main panel. He also checked current flowing through each 'leg' of power coming in from the meter to be sure that the main breaker was not tripping due to 'unbalanced' loads on one power leg.
He verified all was working well; all arcing and heating-up of the power connection/main breaker had ceased.
We are extremely satisfied with Bill's quality of work, his responsiveness, and his very fair price.
We'll definitely call him for future electrical needs.

Excellent professionalism throughout. He came to give us an estimate, and carefully examined the relevant parts of the house so that the estimate would be spot on. He was timely, and the work was performed superbly, with full clean up.

This is my first experience with Angie's List. I have used another web service (SM) and hated to be bombarded with all of the immediate calls. I am used to dealing with a trusted professional for home services, and was without an electrician since mine retired and moved to Florida.

I spoke with William Stepp and arranged for him to come on Monday. He arrived early and completed the job on time and billed me exactly what we discussed. He was careful not to disturb anything and cleaned up nicely before he was on his way.

I would definitely use him again.

We called Mr. Stepps on Thursday for a quote and he came to our house on Friday. We were given a price which we accepted and made an appointment for Tuesday. He arrived on time and got right to work. We had all the fixtures in place so he was able to install everything without running back on forth. The total job took about three and a half hours. We are very happy with the results and would certainly use Mr. Stepp for any electrical work we need done in the future.

It was excellent. He was efficient. The pricing was very good. He was very good.
