I shopped around online for new flooring laminate and after locating the style I wanted I found Lumber Liquidators.
I used their website to estimate the square footage needed and since I like to see the product myself, when possible, I located a store and took a ride to Oakhust NJ (the nearest one).
The store itself was underwhelming, located behind a larger store off an old two lane highway, but hey, I'm looking for a bargain so it's nice to know they keep their costs down. I checked out their offerings and took some samples home. About a week later, I returned to make a purchase.
When I told the salesman what I wanted, he told me that if I waited one more day, there would be an further 20% discount on the price. Then he said, so I wouldn't hace to come back tomorrow, he would date the order for the next day, not take payment and if I called the next day with my credit card number I would get the discount. Which I did. That alone saved me over $400.00.
Since the flooring was in the warehouse, all I needed was my contractor to pick it up when I was ready to have it installed, which he did.
The floor was easily installed (about 900 feet in a day) and according to the contractor, there was not a lot of damaged pieces (which is common). The flooring is beautiful and the experience with the Lumber Liquidators was excellent.

They have better prices than big buck stores and better quality. It was a good experience. They helped us as soon as we went in the stores. They told us about the different products that they have. The price is very good.

They were very nice to work with and extremely professional. They took the time to explain everything to me and gave me a lot of different options. I would highly recommend them.

A few months after installation defects (chipping or pitting) began to appear on the stair treads to the sides where no one walks. There are only two of us residing in the home and only one of us uses this stairway on once or twice a day basis. We took pictures and documented the defects and sent a letter to the local store. They referred us to the national headquarters. We sent the pictures along with a letter to them explaining what we considered had to be defects in the processing of the steps. Note some of the boards did not develop any of these defects. . We spoke with a customer service representative. Then we received a letter simply stating and quot;Lumber Liquidators regrets to hear that you are experiencing issues with your stair tread. Unfortunately, this is a non-warrantable issue, and as such LLI will take no further actionand quot;

Only now that I have searched the internet under Lumber Liquidators Complaints have I come to realize this is not an uncommon complaint from many others who have been equally unsuccessful in having their issues even looked into by a company representative. Even if their warrant did not in fact cover such defects, a more specific explanation was warranted to explain it beyond the cover all and quot;...this is a non warrantable issueand quot;. Had I discovered these complaints before I would have used a local floor installer who stands behind his products and his installation.

It was a positive exper. there were some delays with custom material, but overall it was good.
