I bought them eight years ago. They hold up and if something happens, I send them back and they will give me a new one. The first set had four knives in the block. I kept upgrading until I filled an eight knife block. Then the last thing that I purchased from them was steak knives and we use them constantly for the last several years and they have held up nicely. The handles are plastic but look like white marble.
