Things were going well for a while with getting my small front lawn cut weekly. Then one week the work wasn't finished. I called a total of four times and sent two emails before deciding I had had enough once I was charged the full amount with no resolution except for an explanation that they don't always cut because it will burn the grass.

They called me back in a timely manner, did a good job and their pricing was fair.

Initially I found the office staff to be responsive and professional, but that changed as the season progressed. The lawn crew was always an issue. They frequently took their lunch breaks on my lawn. One of the workers liked to lay under a pine tree with branches so low it was impossible to sit up underneath it. Passersby were left with the impression that there was an unresponsive or dead person under the tree. Another crew member who was sitting on the curb by my mailbox threw the remains of his lunch - partially eaten food and wrappings - in the middle of my lawn. When I asked him if he had thrown the garbage on my lawn, he said yes and that he would "pick it up later." Wrong answer! When I complained to management they apologized but did nothing further. I subsequently got a quote from Custom and 3 other lawn companies for a big landscaping job on the property. Custom's estimate was 50% more than the other 3 estimates. Due to the high cost and past issues with the crew, I chose another company, and the job was completed satisfactorily. The latest issues with Custom are 1) the fact the Custom crew went ahead and only cut part of the lawn during one visit due to the placement of multiple utility flags in preparation for Fios installation. No one bothered to contact me to ask if I wanted to pay full price to get half of the lawn cut. I had to call management again to tell them I was not going to pay for a full cut when a good portion of the lawn could not be mowed due to the plethora of flags. Custom failed to call me back in follow up as promised so I had to call them again. They did waive the entire charge for the partial cut. 2) While I was on the phone about the partial cut, I mentioned that the lawn was not cut on the week of Oct 15. Anna told me my service was weekly, and the lawn should have been cut on Oct 19. I told her it was not and I had photos to prove it. She said she would look into it and get back to me. I also sent a follow up email after getting off the phone. I got no follow up from Custom other than the Oct bill and was charged for the nonexistent Oct 19 service. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau about it. One of the company managers contacted me to apologize for my experience. He also told me the charge for the charge for the service in question had also been waived. I appreciate the fact that this individual reached out to me and that I was not charged for a service I did not receive.

Frank and his team were outstanding. They did such an amazing job and my backyard needed a major facelift. They were punctual, professional and extremely hard working. They were done with the job in 3.5 days. I was 100% pleased with the final product and would recommend to my friends and family.

The old plants were removed without disturbing the foliage we were keeping and the new plants put in according to the design plan we agreed to with Alicia. Frank personally supervised the team to make sure the job was done exactly as we wanted. Everyone was professional, courteous and very hard working. Our property looks fabulous thanks to Custom!

It was a small job. They weren't punctual. It took him a long time to get him out to do the work. When he came out he itemized it for everything that doing something, so one thing I am not for the itemization so may be that cost him to want to come out and do the job. Some of the service they said they were going to do. They didn't do it at all. I would not use them in the future.

We have been a customer with them for number of years. They are a family own business. We can call them up and see if they are able to do a project, if they can't they will call you back and will refer us to another highly recommended provider. They are always professional, punctual, and knowledgable. The price is reasonable in the area we live in. I will continue to use them and would highly recommend them to others.

And when I asked for service to be cancelled, he wanted t charge me a service termination fee. Stay away.

I LIKED EVERYTHING THEY DID. THEY ARE VERY HARD WORKERS. THE PRICE WAS A LITTLE HIGH, BUT IT WAS WORTH IT. I PAY BY THE SEASON. I PLAN TO HAVE THIS COMPANY BACK NEXT SEASON.

THE COMPANY IS ALRIGHT, BUT I THINK THEY ARE A LITTLE TOO EXPENSIVE FOR MY BUDGET. I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THE COMPANY. THEY ARE ALWAYS VERY POLITE.
