Biondo Contracting

A week before the job started I asked the owner, Sam, whether I was to obtain the permit or would he do it. It was by email, as was his response. He said he would take care of it. The day the job was to be done, I went to work, and the next day I had an invoice in my mailbox from the Township for $2,000 - for failure to obtain a permit. Long story short - Sam paid the fine, so I said nothing here till now. Today I am having siding done, and when the soffits were exposed, I could see that Sam never drilled holes in them as he said he would and as I paid him to do. I don't know how many other corners Sam cut on this job, but I am not at all happy. I would not recommend his company to my worst enemy.

Sam and his crew were pleasant, punctual and professional. He was recommended to us by neighbors and we were very pleased with the job; we would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

Excellent.  The owner, Sam Biondo, was courteous, punctual, and professional.  He personally provided the estimate, delivered all the materials, and supervised the entire job.  The entire roof replacement took only one day, including removal of old shingles, installation of new shingles and flashing, and site clean up.  Overall, first rate service by Sam and his entire crew!

Biondo Contracting were able to match the shingles that were used a few years earlier and blended the new roof in seamlessly.  They worked in conjunction with our general contractor as far as timing, etc. and we had no issues.  The additions are now done and my mother has moved in.  We have had some crazy spring storms and summer thunderstorms and not one drop of water has entered our home.  Once again, they did a fabulous job - so glad we called them back after our first positive experience with them.  Thanks, Sam!

Great experience! We are so glad we went with Biondo even though they weren't the least expensive quote we received! The roof replacement was completed in 1 day and the crew was very thorough with the cleanup. Sam gets 5 stars for his customer service. He is client focused and very approachable. We had a small leak in one of our skylights (skylights were not replaced with roof) and Sam came over next day, patched it up, and apologized for the inconvenience. Stand up company. We highly recommend them.

Biondo Contracting just put a new roof on my house and they did a great job.  i would highly recommend Sam for several reasons.  First, Sam Biondo has been in business over 20 years and that is not easy to do in this business. In fact, he put a new
roof on my house over 20 years ago and when it came time to replace it, he was the first one i called.  I called him about the new roof because when  i last dealt with Sam over 20 years ago, we had some issues with the roof and he came back immediately to make sure that they were dealt with promptly and without hesitation.  Another reason is that the price he quoted me for the new roof was very reasonable.  he also does not use a dumpster. he hauls away any debris in his truck so you don't have to worry about a dumpster messing up your lawn or driveway.  Sam is also on site for the entire job.  (By the way, the entire job took less than a day. They started at 8am and were done by 2pm.  this included a total rip of my old roof).   Finally, Sam and his crew cleaned up everything.  i was particularly concerned about the landscaping and flowers that were coming up near my house, but there was no damage to anything which is pretty incredible considering all the debris that is coming off the roof.  The new roof looks great and Sam is a pleasure to work with so again i highly recommend him.

They arrived 15 minutes early in AM and proceeded to work through the morning and early afternoon. They cleaned up the area very well. All in all it was a very pleasant experience.

Sam Biondo, the owner is the consummate professional. He still believes in a good solid handshake to seal a deal. He provides the homeowner with an excellent understanding of the work that needs to be done then reviews your options completely and patiently and then offers a fair price for the work. His crew is respectful and efficient and cleans up thoroughly. He and his team are polite and they work quickly. His work is done with attention to detail and with the best of materials. No cutting corners. High quality work that will be free of worry for you the homeowner. I was completely satisfied and the roof looks great.

Dealing with Sam for this project, we found him to be very professional and honest about all work to be done.  Sam came out and measured the roof and provided a very reasonable estimate on work to be done.  We had a few estimates from other companies and the quotes went from double what Sam quoted to just under his proposed amount.  We chose Sam based on his professionalism, honesty and reasonable price.  Sam is very easy to deal with.  Any and all enquiries we had, Sam responded to immediately. All materials were delivered to our home on Saturday, on Monday morning Sam and his crew arrived on time at 8:00 and started immediately.  The entire front and back of the house was tarped off.  They all worked so quickly and efficiently and were done before you new it.  I was very impressed at how cleanly they worked throughout the entire project. They were completed before 2:00 p.m.  They removed all tarp and cleaned up all debris and removed with their own truck (no need for a dumpster). From start to finish, this job was flawless.  They were professional, quick and clean.  I would recommend Biondo Contracting to anyone who asks if I know a good roofer.  Sam, you and your crew were great.  Our new roof looks great and we are so glad we chose you for this job.

I was very satisfied with the professionalism of Sam Biondo.  I made an appointment to get an estimate for a new roof, he showed up on time, measured, and explained what he would do.  Within two days he emailed me a proposal.  He responded to all of my calls and emails in a timely manner. He answered all of my questions and supplied addresses of work completed previously so that I could decide what roof color I liked the best. On the day the job was scheduled to be done, Sam and his crew showed up on time and worked continuously until it was finished even though it was a very cold February day.  I would definitely recommend Biondo Contracting. 

The work was done on schedule and in an extremely professional way.  Roofing supplies and the crew arrived ahead of start time.  Sam provided accurate time estimates and finished the job on time. He and his team made several passes over my property to remove debris during the clean-up.

This experience was fantastic start to finish. Sam returned our phone call promptly and came out to provide an estimate in a reasonable time frame. Along with others in our area, we suffered the loss of some shingles during and shortly after Super Storm Sandy. As we approached neighbors and reached out to friends looking for a roofer, no one had anyone to recommend. That is when we signed up for Angie's List. We contacted multiple roofers for estimates, and our experience with Sam felt more honest and comfortable than any of the others. Originally, we were going to replace the main roof, and correct a bad job on our front porch flat roof. However, after working with home insurance, we realized we could not afford the flat roof at this time. Sam was quick to adjust the estimate and and work with our budget. My husband made the call and Sam called me to scedule the time to come and inspect the leak with the roof.  Sam showed up on time and inspected the roof.  I was determined that the the 18 year old roof needed to be replaced.  Sam said he would send an estimate to our e-mail address within a couple of days.  We received the e-mail and decided to use.Biondo.  Sam and his crew were great.  The project was supposed to be done on a Friday but due to on coming winter storm was rescheduled for Monday.  Start time was 8 o'clock and Sam and the crew were right on time.  While waiting for the supplies to be delivered at 8:30, the crew started right away securing the tarps and scraping the old shingles off.  The whole roof was completed and everything was cleaned up by 3:00.  The roof looks great!!!   Would highly recommend them to others and use them again.   GREAT JOB AND VERY PROFESSIONAL

We have had 3 roofers over the past 10 years up by our chimney trying to fix a persistent leak.  Apparently NONE of them fixed it as we kept getting water in our living room....each apparently just kept putting new flashing and roofing cement around the chimney but the leak persisted.  Biondos removed the shingles and discovered some plywood damage from the many years of leaking (they even sent us pictures of the damage) and repaired it.  To date it is dry....of course we just had a hurricane and we are having them come back to do more repairs caused by the hurricane.  They even were able to do an emergency repair between the hurricane and the nor-easter storm!! 

Everything went smooth from start to finish. Sam always returned our calls promptly and he was always glad to answer any questions we had.  The service was performed when promised ...They were on time and professional and did an excellent job, clean up included.  We would definitely use them again in the future and recommend as well to friends and family.

We have had many small roof repairs due to shingle ripoff from storms over the past 4-5 years.  Our home is less than 16 years old, but the builder did not provide the best quality materials nor had the work done by people who knew, necessarily, what they were doing.  Many homes in our neighborhood have had similar or worse issues.  We were using a contractor we knew for the small repairs, and when it was evident that a full roof replacement was necessary, he recommended someone he knew to do the job for us.  This person is not on Angie's List, but did call us within a few days.  After making an appointment, however, he never showed up or called.  The next day, we noticed his card in our front door.  He had apparently come to our home 6 hours later than scheduled and did an estimate of our roof when we weren't home.  When called, he gave us his estimate to reroof over the existing roof .  We would have liked to discuss our roof issues with him, and decided to ask for his price for a full roof ripoff and replacement.  His quote seemed extraordinarily high and we decided to get a second quote.   We weren't members of Angie's list at the time and my husband found Sam Biondo of Biondo Contracting online and left him an e-mail for a request for quote.  Even though it was a Sunday evening, Sam responded almost immediately and set up an appointment that was mutually agreeable within a day or two.  I met him at our home at the appointed time and he was most gracious, brought brochures and samples of actual roofing material and explained how the roofing system worked.  Due to our previous issues, he didn't recommend roofing over our existing roof, which we were in agreement.  Since we had never done any major work to the house, we decided to join Angie's List and see what others had to say.  Mr. Biondo and his team got glowing remarks and my initial gut feeling about Mr. Biondo was confirmed.  I knew he and his team would do a great job!  We were sold and the job was scheduled for about a week later and the roof was done in less than two days.  The crew was very respectful of our home and landscaping and did a great job - even staying on the roof under a tarp to finish up a section during an unexpected thunderstorm so as not to leave our roof decking exposed to the elements.  They worked diligently in extreme heat and humidity.  Mr. Biondo is a man of integrity and his desire to make sure his customers are satisfied is quite evident.  They did not use an unsightly dumpster to remove the old roofing materials that might have marred our newly coated driveway, but a company truck that took away the debris at end of day.
We have already secured Mr. Biondo and his team to replace our wooden porch post.  As you can see from our comments that we have been more than satisfied, start to finish, with his professionalism and work ethic.  The roof looks fantastic too!!  We would recommend him to anyone who needs roofing work.  Thanks, Sam.

Overall it was efficient, thorough and quick - an excellent contractor for roofing needs.  We had been erroneously told by another company that we needed  certain work that did not need to be done, Biondo explained everything thoroughly and demonstrated why we didn't need that work.
