Ed is great! Ed has been my plumber for over 10 years. with regard to this event, it was sunday and when i went to take a shower there was no hot water. Since Ed educated me years before, i immediately knew it was the water heater. my immediate concern was and quot;how much waterand quot;. I defintiely had water in the basement but was able to keep the amount of water to a minimum because some time ago Ed showed me how to shut off the water. i immediately called Ed and he was at my house on Sunday within an hour. He helped me pump out water, carry damaged items upstairs into the garage and explained removing and replacing the hot water heater and getting the permit. Ed came the next day and removed and replaced the hot water heater. he made sure to protect my home from further water and accidental wall damage by using drop clothes and other appropriate tools. he explained what i should do to dry the basement. everything went well and i was back in business within 30 - 36 hours. While Ed may not be the cheapest plumber, his prices are fair and you get much more than just plumbing service. you get an education on what to do to keep your plumbing problems at a minimum. You can an expert and peace of mind.
Over the years, Ed installed my washer and dryer, refrigerator ice maker, natural gas line for my grill. He fixed a leak without ripping out the ceiling, repaired cracked shower head, leaking dishwasher. he's been a real life saver for me.

I have used them quite a bit and they are very good. I would recommend them to anyone and will continue to use them for plumbing needs. They show up when they say they will, do what they tell you they are going to do, and charge you what they said they would. Great Service.

These guys are great! they explain everything they are doing and why. they are prompt and they clean up after the work is done and they leave the warenty papers next to the equipment installed. they also label all the pips and label the on and off valves with simple but detailed instructions. there was one place they had to leave s hole in the wood on the house, but they patched it so well after it was stained I could not even see it.
several years ago I decided to expland my patio and hired a contractor to do it. about 1 third of the way through he disappeared. after waiting through the winter, spring summer and into the fall I decided he was not comming back.some of the work the precious contractor had done was s obad when the inspector came out he shook his head and said it was so bad he could't even tell me where to begin to fix it. With a little help from my friends I finished the plumbing for the gas and water and the electrical. I found the contractor and he came out and poured thh concrete, only to disappear again. Well I found out where he paid for the bouestone and they were great about so they helped me find a mason to finish the patio. we passed inspections and have a very beautiful patio.
the reason this is relevant it that I did the plumbing and then forgot to turn off the water to the hose bibs in the winter. I learned alot while building this patio and one of those things was to have professionals do the work. after ignoring my own thoughts i went a couple of years with only one hose in the back i finally found Ed.
Ed and his guys came in adn fixed all the things I did wrong made it so the softened water was not watering the back yard, or my tomatoes. I am sure it was the softened water that stunted the growth of my plants. and he even comes out and turns off the out side water for me inthe winter.
Hurricane Sandy caused us to be tithout power for 13 days. No power, no flood, no fire we we lucky.well on day 12 our natural gal power generator arrived in out garage, ed was out that day to help figure out what to do.

Valve in exterior faucet was broken. A new one was installed instead of repairing the exisitng one. The plumber explained that parts were difficult to get for faucets made in 1995 now. The charge for this was $339 + tax. This incuded the part.
A very slight continuous flow of water in a toilet was remedied by the replacement of several parts, including the fill valve, flapper, and supply tube. Given the very minor nature of the problem, I was surprised at the draconian and extensive measures taken. The charge for this was $144.
I requested that a refrigerator water filter in the piping leading to the refrigerator be replaced. I supplied the filter. To trun off the valve, pull out the old one and put in the new one, generally takes three minutes. The plumber estimated it a half an hour job. When I questioned this, he said that he misspoke. However, ultimately I was billed for this extraordinary estimate of time, which I doubt was used. Another filter was a paper one under the sink in the kitchen. The plumber had one of those standard ones in his truck. For replacing both filters, I was charged $70.
