It is going fabulous! I spent about 8 years working at home. During this time, we rescued two doggies - both lab mixes. These two babies of mine were used to me being home all day every day with them. So in April of 2013 when I took a job that required me to go into the office four days a week, I needed to find someone to come in and let them out during the day because neither my husband nor I would be able to get home during the day to let them out. So I call Alone at Home Pet Sitters. I enjoyed talking to Ilene on the phone - she was very sweet - understood all my concerns. We set up to meet at my house on a Friday. She was awesome and most importantly my boys just loved her!! WOO-HOO!!! She agreed to take them on Monday - Thursday. She would start that Monday. So off I go to work Monday morning...a little nervous because I know my one baby is just that - MY baby. So I get a call around lunch time that there is an issue - neither one of those babies wanted to go back in the house for Ilene. And MY baby gave her a little bit of a hard time. UGH is all I thought. So I hop in my car and head back home. In the meantime, my husband also arrived to help out and was able to get them in the house. But I could see that Ilene was a little apprehensive because my baby gave her a bit of a hard time. BUT, she agreed that we would take this day by day. She wasn't going to give up on my Harley. I told her for the next couple of weeks, I would come home at lunch to let him know that it was ok for her to be there. But she said she wanted to try this by herself and would go day by day. I totally understood...just kept my fingers crossed that everything would work out. Well each day Ilene leaves me this little report of what happens each day she goes there. And each day, Harley got a little better. I appreciated her notes...and was so excited that things were getting better with Harley. When I came home one day and saw that Harley let her pet him that day, I almost burst into tears! I was sooo happy!!! By the second week, Harley was giving her kisses!!! Needless to say I was delighted!!! I appreciate the determination that Ilene showed. And I was so very delighted that she was willing to go day by day with my Harley. I kept her progress report and highlighted all her good comments and I hung that report on my refrigerator! I'm one proud mommy!!!
So needless to say Ilene is AWESOME!!! So very happy that I found her on Angie's List. And I joined Angie's List specifically to find someone to take care of my babies.
I go to work every day and don't worry about my babies. I look forward to going home to see the little notes that she leaves me. I would highly recommend Alone at Home and Ilene to anyone that is looking for someone to take care of their pets.

The experience was perfect. They were always available when I needed them, even when I needed an extra day when I was out of town. They were available for a late visit.

She loves cats. She knows some secrets that cat owners know like she doesn't ring the doorbell but knocks lightly on the door otherwise the cats will scatter.
