"Thank you so much for your review. It was truly a pleasure working with you on your restoration project. When most want to just gut the entire space, we worked to restore a bathroom back to its glory!! Thank you!"
"This member and family were amazing to work with! The project had its design hurdles completely altering bathroom layout. We made it through and I'm very happy with the end result. Thank you and enjoy your bathroom!!"
"I had my second child around this time which led to schedule conflicts. The shower grout and caulk was cracked and mildewed everywhere. Only re-caulking shower perimeter produced little aesthetic value but put a stop to a worsening problem."
"Thank you so much for your review!! It was a pleasure working for you and making your long planned renovation come to life! I enjoyed working with a homeowner who has great design sense and thinks details through. Thanks again!!!"
"A pleasure to work for. The bathroom labor and material cost was a bit more than listed. I believe that was a typo. I was greeted every day with the most friendly golden retriever in the world that escorted me to our work site. Project ran smooth and on schedule! Enjoy your new shower!"
"These members were great to work for. Extremely accommodating. Moved out of there master bedroom so we could get to work. The homeowner was an engineer and surely appreciated the details. We had daily discussions on specs and It helped in executed all of tasks in a timely manner. I like when the client cares about the details almost as much as I do. Thank you for the review! Enjoy your new master bathroom!"
It was a very good experience. We thought it was going to be a much more expensive job than it turned out being so it is always nice. It was perfectly done. I have a tile job I need to call them about.
"Whenever a member feels they got a great value and are surprised they got out of a scary repair on the light end, everyone wins! Quick, painless, and easy. Thank you."
"Thank you for your review. Happy to assist you on your small repair."
"Thank you so much for your review! Whenever there is a new baby or another life altering event in line with a prospected project finish date, there is some extra pressure. We were up for the challenge! I was happy and a bit relieved to have meet our deadline. I have to admit, an early birth was lingering in the back of my mind. Lol. Not the case though! The homeowner was a big help being decisive on design elements and helping in making sure certain finish items were on site. Extremely accommodating, gave me a garage clicker and let me crush the job!! Enjoy and congratulations on the birth of your daughter!"
"This project went on schedule with no hiccups or issues beyond our control. This member was very dust and foot/job traffic conscious. We had to bring our A game everyday in dust control in which is a big priority in any home interior reno. Enjoy your new bathroom!"
"This member was extremely pleasurable to work for. Very clean home. Great taste. Love retro restorations. I feel like I'm back in time when finished! Enjoy"
They were prompt, on time, professional. Communication was great. He always let me know when they were coming over. He answered lots of questions and brainstormed with us when we had some roadblocks. I added some unusual elements to the bathroom and we had many discussions as to exactly what we wanted/how we wanted it to look. I appreciated that he wanted to get it perfect for us! He really takes pride in his work.
I also liked that it was just the two of them. It is rare to have a contractor that does the job himself. We didn't have random guys show up to the house to do the work. He subcontracts out for plumbing and electric (Massucci Electric - the electrician we use and love) and they did a great job as well.
We had some delays, waiting for inspections, unexpected rerouting of plumbing (at my request), materials, a horribly uneven floor - but none of that was due to John's work. The job went longer than initially contracted but I would much rather the job take longer and be right than rushed and wrong.
We are in love with our bathroom and immensely happy. We will definitely use Vitacco Tile when we are ready to redo our kitchen!
"Thank you so much for taking time to write a review. These members were awesome to work for. They selected the most beautiful crackled /beveled glass tile for an accent wall in tub. I was excited to install the material. They also wanted an arch in the tub which I tried to sway her from doing, but I have to admit, she proved me wrong and I think we were both surprised on how it turned out. These clients had great taste and design sense which is always refreshing. Our babies are the same age and we shared our stories. After the project, my family and I were invited to the her daughter's birthday party. I feel I have gained a friend in these members which is always lovely!!"
"I love finding a leak and turning a homeowners worst nightmare into a repair under $200"
"Thank you so much for your review! This member had a great sense of humor. Very go with the flow and easy to work for. Extremely considerate and has a big heart. She may not like this but she reminded me of my mother and I think our dialogue was as if we'd known each other for years. She was very funny. We are still in contact and help her out at the drop of a hat if she were in jamb."
John is not a sales person but the owner of the company, the project manager, the tiler, and pretty much everything else in between. The only things he does not do are the electrical and plumbing as he sub-contracts them out.
This proved to be a good thing as John is literally the first, second, and last person you deal with. You don't have to deal with a large company where you first meet with a sales person, then a scheduler, then the project manager, then the customer service rep, and so on. John is a one stop shop when it comes to the work and communication.
When he submitted his proposal, he factored in everything that we discussed. In addition to a full bathroom gut, we needed our subfloor repaired, potential plumbing upgrades, and window replacements Again, attention to detail was present. because all of that was included in the proposal. We met with several contractors previously and not all of them included that in their proposal even though I asked them specifically to do so.
His attention to detail carried throughout the entire duration of the job. He laid out tarp, put up dust barriers, and pretty much protected our home as best he could. This sounds like it should be expected but that was not the case for our previous bathroom renovation.
Any home reno will lead to some disarray of your home, dust and dirt all over, and just stuff everywhere. John and Scott, the other contractor that was there everyday, were as clean and organized as can be.
John was friendly and very approachable. He said hi to my 2 and a half year old son every time he saw him and his right-hand man Scott, did the same to our little dog. Not directly relevant to the job but it speaks volumes about them as individuals.
Just to nitpick, there were some very very minor communication gaps but that was all overlooked because he did such a great job with everything else and did not try to nickel and dime us. He even came back after the job was done because we were unhappy with the location of one of our fixtures. He didn't hesitate to get the job done and he continued to keep our home clean.
I would absolutely recommend and hire John again for my next big project!
"Thank you for your review! I appreciate how you pointed out your perception pre project. I care about my clients homes as if it's my own home. All interior renovations are intrusive on the homeowners private space. I try my best every day to never lose sight of that. When contractors leave for the day, they get to go home to there clean homes. The clients are the ones that have to live through the construction environment. I try to alleviate this issue the best I can not just on day one. Aside from the craft which is actually the easy part, there is a whole other side to invasive renovations that get overlooked by a lot of tradesmen and contractors. Thank you for recognizing this. Enjoy your bathroom!"
"Thank you for review! Enjoy your new shower pan!"
The results are great. John did a beautiful job on the tile. He pays attention to detail. A real artist!
John was always in contact to be clear what was happening that day or if we had questions about what or where to purchase the things we needed for the bathroom.
The dumpster (we needed for taking away all the refuse) left a slight divet in our driveway, but John said he would be back to patch it in the Spring.
I would gladly recommend John and Scott to anyone. They are nice guys and completely trustworthy!
"Thank you so much for your review. This bathroom renovation went smooth. The materials the homeowners selected made my job easy! Also, these members are professional musicians so starting my days hearing live music was a rare treat! Thank you very much and enjoy your new bathroom space!"
The project required removing the old subfloor (exposing the basement beneath) and putting down new plywood/cement board and thinset to even out the floors. Then, they installed the new tile throughout the two rooms. John & his assitant, Scot did a wonderful job, the area looks transformed! Especially in complex projects, it's so important to have someone who has the experience and appropriate skill level....Vitacco does excellent, quality work. They have a strong work ethic, punctual, very responsive and have a great sense of humor. I plan on using them again when we're ready to do another project!
"Thank you so much for your review and reaching out for a second project. This home is very interesting and definitely has some character being from that time era. Along with that comes it's challenges which we gladly welcome here at Vitacco Tile. These members also had a great sense of humor and working with them again was a pleasure. Thank you very much!"
