Before cleaning your tile and grout, I brought to your attention that you had grout missing in some small areas. We can not determine the color of the grout until the soil is extracted from it, then try to match it with new grout and fill it in. In your case the color Ivory seamed to match best. Most of the time this is accomplished at first attempt. When you called me and told me you were not happy with the color match, I immediately came over that same evening to inspect. I understood your concern that the new grout was lighter than the existing grout, so together we chose a second color, Buff. I sent my employee over the next day to change the color. I then received a call from you two days later with the same concern. I told you that I will call you back that evening to come over and inspect again. To my dismay, I called you back two days later. I apologized for for the delay and then came over that evening. I again understood your concern that the grout was still too light, so together we picked a third color, Almond. Because of your schedule, I sent my employee over three days later to change the grout again. I waited two days for the grout to dry thoroughly and called you to see if it was to your satisfaction and you said it was. Matching new grout to old grout is not an exact science. There are many different colors made by may different manufactures. Also, the grout chip samples are not the exact color as the actual grout. Like I said before, most of the time the color is best matched at first attempt, Did it take three times to get it your liking? Yes. In the end, did I take care of my customer adequately? Yes, I feel I did all I could until you were satisfied."
