Oil Furnace or Forced Air Heating System Repair Service
Did an ok job, but spilled oil all over my floor - the room smelled like heating oil - had to air it out for like 3 days. Also when pouring excess oil back to my tank, spilled it all over the tank and did not even clean it up. Kind of disappointing? Update: 2 months later one of the hoses that the technician had to disconnect to perform the tune-up of my oil furnace started to leak. I called the company to have them come in and fix it. They told me that it will cost me $175 service call fee plus the cost of parts and labor. The leak was not there before Phase II technician touched the unit. It is obviously the result of them working on the unit and should be covered and free of charge. This is definitely NOT the way they should conduct the business. DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE AND HORRIBLE QUALITY OF WORKMANSHIP!

Overall, they work was good. They charged me a lot more than the estimate. I did not receive an invoice breaking down the charges. I need a copy.

"Customer Service is always a high priority at Phase II. The estimate was presented to wife and adult son before they gave okay and signed the authorization. We used less refrigerant than we gave on estimate so the final invoice was less than the estimate. Maybe authorization should have come from the Husband? Disclosure is a right not a privilege at Phase II. We thank you for your review and will continue to perfect our communication with customers."

Although I was desperate and would have probably paid anyway, I was only told the price of the part I needed replaced. Later, I was shocked to learn the total due! It would have been nice to know prior to the end of the work. The technician also realized he had the wrong part and had to leave and return to finish the work. I was told it was a 2 hour job that ended up taking 4 hours. I wonder if the extra time was somehow incorporated into the price through no fault of my own...I definetely got overcharged.

"Our customers comfort is our highest priority. An attic job on a 90-degree day may slow a technician down somewhat and trying to keep the most used parts on the truck for inventory sometimes doesn't help in some repair scenarios. We make it a priority to secure the needed part as quickly as possible to complete the job. This job did not leave much time before the supply house closed. Not knowing the price of the necessary motor in this case with the time restraints and the customers desire to resolve their unbearable conditions we preceded with the repair with the customers authorization. Each review we take as positive criticism in helping us provide the service that customers can appreciate. We will make it a point in the future perhaps to discuss the repair and its cost more clearly to the customer which seems to have been more important than the service in this case. Though we strive to provide the best service and competitive pricing for our customers we recognize that realistically not every customer will appreciate our efforts. We apologize for any discomfort we may have caused you in your repair experience."

"Refrigerant cost of R-22 has increased dramatically in price and most customers can't distinguish what this price has done to the overall cost of some repair related to charging their system with this refrigerant. The pricing is controlled for the most part by the EPA and the supply houses and unfortunately gets passed to the consumer. We pride ourselves on being professional and a great valve to our customers but unfortunately can not control material cost."
