The guys fixed the bottom of my driveway which had a very steep entrance where it met the main road. They cut out about 20ft of the driveway entrance and put in new asphalt then flatten it out to make the entry much easier to enter without scrapping the front and back bumper of my vehicles. They also had me test it out multiple times to make sure it was right and made the necessary adjustments before they left. Great Service, most definitely will use them again!

They were the most responsive of all the contractors I contacted with the friendliest customer service, reasonable prices, and prompt & professional work. The service was excellent. Their work is impeccable. Sonny is easy to contact and easy to work with. He is very friendly and so helpful. The work was really good and did a great job. If you are in a group rate , customers should be willing to wait.

Review – Regrettable Run-around with Paving Company-Recommend Reading. I strongly wish I had avoided Garden State Paving & Masonry, LLC (License #: 13VH07833800) (973) 876-1811. I would not have had them do any work for me. • Bottom line – the new driveway they installed was a problem from day one. Dealing with them for the last 10 months has been a nightmare. Unfortunately their name is similar to several other more reputable paving companies and I relied on one site’s recommendation: • When you do your search, be sure to use several sites and confirm who you are looking at. (Garden State Paving & Masonry, LLC (License #: 13VH07833800) Carefully searching google, yahoo, and BBB sites gives a much more accurate picture. Those negative reviews exactly mirror my experiences. • The owner (Sonny) only showed once and will not return. He persists on sending his foreman, Cruz & crew to address customer concerns. • After trying to get Sonny to address the pervasive crumbling of the driveway surface for the past 9 months, I am currently taking steps to bring the company and owner to court. Last September, I contracted the owner (Sonny Stevens) and Garden State Paving & Masonry, LLC (License #: 13VH07833800) to remove/replace driveway. The driveway began crumbling almost immediately. • Asphalt surface inconsistent. Large sections poorly compacted & breaking apart • Began crumbling within the week • His foreman used blow torches to heat and tap town sections • Owner sent crew 3x. Attempting same repairs using same blow torches. Even sent crew in Nov in 30 degree weather for repair. Even I know that's too cold to work with Asphalt! • Went Back and forth with owner, who will only attempt blow torches repair. • Problem = The driveway is SCALING • Told by 3 groups: 1)National & 2) State Asphalt Paving Association and 3) an Engineering Firm with photos. All confirmed “installed wrong”, using a Blow torches only burns away oil and will make it worse. Only fix is to reinstall/resurface • Owner refuses to make it right. In 2013 they removed my driveway and repaved. The guys and team were nice but they did the work in one day. A year later we started seeing cracks , seven years later my driveway is a mess. I understand rough NJ weather , but not this. Just called The owner to have him come by and see what he thinks after 7years if it’s ok that I need a new driveway.

The owner Sonny is a great salesman, however when the job was done incorrectly he refused to acknowledge the hazardous driveway he left behind. It is 4 inches above grade and is a terrible tripping hazard. After reaching out to him several times he sent over someone to lay dirt around the driveway rather than come back and fix the problem. The person who laid the dirt did a terrible job and to ruined our lawn. There are many companies out there who stand behind their work and do a good job the first time. Our job was done in August and he refuses to respond to us.

His crew took off the very top layer of asphalt, left the underlayer, dumped a load of QP and then gave me a song and dance about the clay dirt under the underlayer being too soft. When I pressed him about not doing what the contract stated, he returned my deposit and walked away from the job! If I was not at home,I suspect that he would have just put a new layer of asphalt on the old underlayer and the and I would not have known any better until the cracks show up a year from now. I am very disappointed and would not recommend this company. Now I have to get someone reputable to fix this mess.

Job went very smoothly. Sonny and his crew were always on time, worked efficiently, and communication with Sonny and Sherry was great. Work was completed as agreed for a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend and hire these guys again!

The owner was on sight throughout the job - 4 men performed the labor and it was done within the time frame that was quoted, they were all very friendly and professional.   We are very satisfied with the job and would call them again
