Sears - Deptford

I had an extended warranty so there was no charge. They came out for the repair in March but the actual repair didn't occur until 7 weeks later. The parts took way, way too long to be ordered. I was without a washer for 7 weeks. He was here when he said and he was fine. I bought another washer and dryer through them but it was before I had this situation.

We live in a semi-attached home and needed to replace the front wood shake of our home with our neighbors.  The suggested trying Sears as they are nationwide.  The sales person came to the door & spent 45 minutes taking very precious measurements.  Then he sat with us in our living room and spent another 30 minutes inputting the measurement into his laptop before even giving us his 'spiel'.  He's definitely not a contractor, he's a sales person.  Sears nickels & dimes you on everything.  If you want this, you pay for every little item.  If we wanted to remove the shakes instead of covering over, we would be charged for bringing a dumpster!  give me a break! 

As they were the second (out of 5) contractors we were interviewing I had a number of follow up questions.  Everytime he called me back he sounded impatient as if I didn't understand.  Hey, I was new to this process and needed an education at the same time. He finally did follow on our lead a few weeks after we made our decision & I just told him we were going with someone else.  

Sears contracts out their work to local contractors, so you don't really know who you're getting until they show up at your door that morning.  That creeped me out.

THE SERVICE ATTENDANTS WERE VERY ATTENTIVE AND THE SERVICE WAS VERY GOOD. I WAS VERY PLEASED THAT THE BATTERY WAS TESTED FIRST BEFORE BEING REPLACED SO THAT I WAS NOT CHARGED NEEDLESSLY.
