Creative Dinettes, Barstools & Mattresses was established in 2004 by three Kingsway High School Alumni (2 brothers and 1 friend) who, after college and a few years in the real world, decided to start their own company. Our sales associates do NOT work on commission. Our company philosophy is simple: treat customers the way we want to be treated ourselves.

"As [member name removed] explained in her review, her stools arrived at our store about a month later than expected. As a special order furniture store, delays like this are rare, but as in the [member name removed] case, factory backorders can happen on occasion. While such events are out of our control, we do everything in our power to accommodate our customers when they arise. The [member name removed] placed their order with us on a Saturday, so we were unable to check stock with the manufacturer at the time of ordering. Therefore, we estimated the typical 4 week turnaround time for these special order stools. (To ensure that our factories are filling our orders as fast as possible, we have two employees who track EVERY one of orders on a weekly basis. We have found this to be absolutely essential in the special order furniture business.) After discovering that the [member name removed] stools were backordered the following week, we called to inform them of the delay. We offered to provide loaner stools in the mean time or switch their order to a different, similar model that was in stock. They politely declined these offers and patiently waited for their stools to arrive. When the stools were finally ready to ship, we used our freight connections to expedite the shipment and, upon receipt at our store, we called the [member name removed] immediately after unloading them off the truck (within minutes) and made the modifications they requested as soon as they were ready to pick them up (Christmas Eve). If there was anything else we could have done to minimize their frustration, we would have gladly done it. We can’t dispute the fact that [member name removed] stools were delayed, but they would have been delayed regardless of what furniture store she bought them from. However, we hope she will agree that Creative Dinettes was willing and able to go above and beyond to minimize her inconvenience. That’s what we do for every customer, because that’s how we want to be treated as consumers ourselves. If you’re planning on buying special order furniture, please be aware that, while rare, unanticipated delays can occur. To minimize your potential for frustration, make sure you buy from a store that closely and consistently monitors their orders, keeps you informed of unexpected delays, and is willing to “work outside the box” to accommodate you."
