Atlantis Water Gardens

They redid my existing pond 2.5 years ago. They are EXPENSIVE!!! Over $7000 for a 700 gallon pond. Within a month I had algae growing and weeds coming up on the floor of the pond. They told me it was my fault and thy could drain the pond and clean it - for over $600. I did it. Within weeks of that, same problem. They told me again, it was my fault. I had had some plants there previously and told them to leave some. These weeds that were coming up were weeds that had NEVER been in the pond and yet it was somehow still my fault.... Then within a month I got horrible string algae. They told me I needed a special ionic filter. You guessed right, hundreds and hundreds of dollars. The next year I got string algae despite the ionic filter I purchased. You guessed it, need to replace a part for several hundred dollars - every year!!! They kinda forgot to tell me that part when they sold me he original one. Last year, when I had them shut down the pond, it took quite a while and they had to remove the pump from the pond and put it in a bucket, etc.... That is why I had them come back this year. When I called to ask how long it would take, I was told 1.5 hours. I figured $400 for an hour and a half of work was worth it. I have a back problem. But when the guy left the pump in the pond (apparently new manufacturer recommendation to not take it out!) and was out of there in just 20 minutes, I was livid. I called and was informed that the hour and a half approximation was for my benefit as I wanted to be there and so they decided to tell me 1.5 hours instead of the 20 minutes it actually took. And the 20 minutes included the guy sitting in the truck on his phone and chatting with me. So maybe 15 minutes of work???? Since they installed the pond, many of the rocks around the pond have fallen into the pond. They were not adequately cemented in. When they came out this past spring and I told them the rocks were falling in, they said they would glue them back in, but lo and behold, they ran out of cement, and that was that. These people are arrogant, overpriced and not worth the money. My neighbor two doors down finally got ride of her pond because she was sick and tired of them charging her thousand for maintenance. I have had ponds all my adult life, but have never had t deal with pond attitude like this before!
