We saw Dr. Eisen for a follow-up with our 4-year-old Wheaten Terrier who had been having trouble with incomplete draining of his glands. (I'm trying to be a bit delicate here.) As we approached her office, Duffy started straining against his leash, wanting to go into the office. Once inside, he jumped around looking for his favorite doctor.
I signed in, after having been greeted by name by the assistant sitting at the desk. We sat on one of the benches and waited to be called.
Our wait was short, and we were invited into the and quot;dogand quot; room. Duffy hopped up onto the examination table, and sat down. Dr. Eisen came in, skritched his ears, and remarked that she was surprised to see us again so soon (about a month after the glands were last drained.) She gave Duffy a quick check, and then gently expressed the glands. Duffy's tail barely stopped wagging, as he licked her assistant's face while she was performing the procedure. After manually draining the glands, she suggested that if we see him having trouble again, to try a commercial fiber product to make his poo a bit firmer (which would drain the glands naturally).
She removed her gloves, washed her hands, and again gave Duffy some hugs and skritches. Her assistant gave Duffy a biscuit, and we walked out to the counter to pay the bill. There's a sturdy hook to attach the leash, but since my husband was with me, he took Duffy on out to the car. I paid the bill, and we all went home. Total time - about a half hour.

O.K. -- doctor and assistant nice, but did not seem to be paying attention to information in file.

The vet is very good. She treats everyone the same. I never had a vet call me until she called to give me an update. When I took my dog in, they went and got hot dogs for her because she wouldn't eat.

They are very good. There is only one Vet, Dr. Barbra Isen, and she is very good. She always calls directly back when I have any questions and will even call on the weekends to follow up or to give information. We will continue to use her.
