Two years ago I hire Rich Fidlow to do a major exterior drainage job on my property. The job took a week and was very very very expensive. It did not go well. Drains were placed improperly and I’ve had no luck or response from him. I hired him because he was a local contractor, but it was a big mistake. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m a woman or this is just standard work ethic but I would not recommend him nor his company. He has had ample time to reach out to me to answer questions but I have heard nothing.

The job consisted of installing a trench drain and a dry well. Then all downspouts and the trench drain were connected to the dry well. Then a few trees in the yard were ripped and replaced with new ones. Job was properly explained and executed just as. Excellent service.

They were fantastic and great. They have a fair price, hardworking and they cleaned up everything and they did exactly what they need to do.

Rich responded promptly to all text messages. He offered good and practical advice. His crew was very professional and did excellent work. They connected and ran a gutter system adding an additional perforated line to catch surface runoff to stop infiltration into basement without the need for French drain. So far, so good!

Rich and his team were awesome. From the design, to the stone selection, to the actual process itself. They were able to fully redo our backyard in a week, taking down trees, installing a patio and fixing our drainage issues. What’s more, they delivered on budget. The work looks amazing. I’d highly recommend RF to anyone considering landscaping, patio or drainage work. You’ll be delighted by the ease of contracting, fair price and superior workmanship.

In April 2020, during the early COVID days, we had the misfortune of having a minor flood in our basement. After doing research and getting sick of cleaning up after significant rain storms, we called Rich and had him come in for a quote of a french drain, a sump pump and some waterproofing. Rich is also our landscaper, so we already trusted his team after they pulled up our old lawn and planted new seed. The work in the basement was done quickly and cleanly. We're very happy with the work and it has worked very effectively.

They did a fantastic job. Rick was easy to work with. His crew paid attention to all the details and did the job in two days. I would definitely use him again.

Hired to do a relatively simple job, remove about 8 aborvitaes that had been damaged and plant 10 new ones, spring clean-up, trim existing aborvitaes, fill in existing beds with sod. Removal of damaged trees and stump went as planned except that some existing grass was damaged by machine that I needed to ask them to fix. No new soil was used for the sod and bed lines were uneven. Areas was not graded appropriately and also was included in the quote was told that that would be extra. New aborvitaes starting browning within days of planting and when requested to come take a look Richard didn't come and after numerous times following up said that it was due to how I cared for them. The rest of my property is meticulous, and cared for them appropriately. He refused to do anything about it other than telling me that he would offer to replace them at cost. He also insulted me over texts and when I threatened legal action told me I was wasting my time. Absolutely poor work and service!!!!!!!'
