I think he tried to snow me. I got it back and within a day and it started making the same noise. It was ridiculous. So, I took it back and then he made good. It's working. When you deal with people like that you expect them to do a good job the first time. So now, I don't trust that guy. I would never ever go back to him. He lost my business. I told him that. The bill was $187 for him to fix something that I think would have really just cost me about $40 or $50. The pricing was outrageous. And then he didn't fix the problem. I had to take it back and it was an inconvenience. It's working now. He gave me a 90-day warranty. He tried to cheat me by doing a little fix up job. I know he did. I would not use this provider again in the future.
Description of Work: I don't use a television. I project my television on the wall. I have a projector for that. After running for years the fan on it started making a lot of noise. I took it to Fine Electronics.

When you want something done he does it right. The man is a genius. He charges based on what it is he's working on but I'd say it's fair pricing.
Description of Work: He repaired an old TV set as well as three stereos.

Service man stated right away after seeing the screen that he knew how to fix TV and stated it would cost $300 including the $70 service charge. I said OK and he proceeded to dismantle TV. Later he said that he had to put in new "chips" which would drive the cost up to $375. Reluctantly I said OK. Eventually he admitted that he could not fix the TV unless he removed a circuit board and send it back to Toshiba for repair which would now cost $475. I said forget it. He eventually charged me $100 plus tax but said he would contact me to see if there was another way to repair the TV. He has never called.
Description of Work: Needed repair on a Toshiba 52inch rear projection TV. Looked in YP and saw an ad for a TV Repair that specialized in Toshiba and large screen TVs. and was local (The ad stated "Essex County") Called and was told there would be a $70 charge for the visit for an estimate. Agreed and made an appointment for 6/25/10. Service no-showed. Got a call on Monday 7/2 and I agreed to allow service man to come. I found out later that Fine Electronics is in Union County, not local.
