The estimate was within the range of other providers however Andy's professionalism was the deciding factor. Susan helped us with scheduling. She is friendly and very approachable. When the team arrived the process took 1 day,as expected, without any complications. They were clean,efficient and did not shy away from giving us explanations when we had a question .
They also coordinated the inspection and it went off without a hitch.
The entire process was very satisfying and we will not hesitate to use this company again in the future.

A-Z did a very good job.  They had all the sub contractors in to do the electrical and plumbing and they installed the new generator. Everything was done on time and the price was very good.  Everyone was pleasant and helpful, we are very pleased with their service.

A-Z was a pleasure to work with from start to finish.  We got estimates from three companies and A-Z was very competitive.  They have installed many standby generators in Westfield and I had been told by neighbors that they were extremely professional and easy to work with.  We were not disappointed.  A-Z handled the entire job.  They got the permit, contracted with a plumber, did the installation, and followed up with the inspections. They made sure that we had all the desired circuits included in our transfer switch since we had not opted for a "whole house" model.  The only thing they wanted us to do was to contact the gas utility to be sure the gas supply was sufficient, which it was.
The job was done quickly and efficiently.  Barely over one day from start to finish.   Installation techs were neat, friendly and totally cleaned up when the job was complete.  The email and phone communication from the office could not have been better.  The power has not failed since the generator was installed so we have not seen it in action but testing by them and me shows the system works well.  I feel very confident that A-Z will provide any needed support promptly and efficiently in the future.

Called A-Z since they were a local authorized Generac dealer/installer.  Very professional customer service.  I made an appointment and Andy came out exactly when he said he would.  He provided us with all the details and an estimate.  Told us exactly what would take place and what was expected of us to get the process started.  I was responsible for contacting the Gas company, but A-Z Electric took care of everything else, including permits and inspections.   I was so pleased with the quality of service A-Z provided, that they have now become my regular "go to" electricians.  Many thanks to A-Z Electric and its team.

The most intense job was the installation of our generator. We were extremely happy, since it was done just before Sandy hit our area -  we were not in the "dark".  A-Z Electric has done several jobs for us, like servicing the generator. The latest was a small job, and as usual great service.

After A-Z assessed our property in June 2013, also bringing in a plumber to also check out the property, they explained what was involved. He told us, due to demand for generator installations, he would not get to us until October- early November of 2013. All the prep work, the install, and the testing was done by the first week of November.  The work was done in two steps. First, the internal plumbing and gas pipes are installed parallel to the existing lines. Then the city came out to inspect that work before anything else is done.  A-Z kept in touch with my husband every step of the process. When they were ready to dig up the old gas line in the street I was concerned my whole front yard would be disturbed but again I was relieved to see it was not that invasive.  My husband was amazed at how organized the various workers were during the one-day process.  The one small area in my front lawn that was disturbed, they came back and planted grass seed to restore that area, as they had promised.
After the install, we had signed up for a two-year service plan which included twice a year inspections of the unit. Exactly six months after the install in November, in early March, an A-Z inspector came out and checked the unit, as promised.  The only error was in our favor. When our home was originally assessed for power needs, we were told we needed a 17,000 kwt unit. After the unit was installed, we received a note from A-Z that a 20,000 kwt unit had been ordered and installed by mistake but they were not going to charge us the extra cost of the larger unit. They understood that it was their error and they did not expect the customer to absorb the cost. They sent us new paperwork to show the correct size/capacity of the unit for our records. We were very pleased with A-Z Electric's overall professionalism.

I've been using A-Z Electric for years, for everything from a service upgrade on the house to recessed lighting in our living room.  The quality of their work is exceptional and they are a pleasure to do business with.

A-Z electric installed a generator for me. It was a long process, but they did a very good job of coordinating all of the steps along the way, including getting necessary permits & working along with the gas company to get everything hooked up. The job is now complete & everything seems fine but, fortunately, we haven't had any power outages to test it out!

I obtained the name if the website of Generac generators as an authorized dealer in my area along with several others.  Upon contacting them I was mailed a price list of various size generators which included the price and the electrical installation of the generator.  The permits and plumbing were separate.  Afteer receiving the list and a couple of estimates from othe contractors I contacted A-Z Electric.to come to my home for a firm estimate.  Andy Zamlansky came on time for the scheduled appointment.  He reviewed my home and the price quoted was as listed on his price sheet excluding the plumbing as that was a seprate cost determined by the plumber..  The price was one of the lowest I received and I agreed to the installation and the genterator was ordered which I was told would be three to five weeks un til they received it.  Several weeks later I received a call that the generator was received and a date set for installation.  The generator was brought to my home on the date specified and installation began the next day which took a total o three or four days including inspections.
During Hurricane Sandy my generator ran for eight straihgt days.  On the morning of the eighth day I noticed it had stopped running.
I called A-Z electric as I have a maintence contract with them.  Mr. Zamlansky answered the phone aned had me open the generator and read the digital readout as to the problem.  Fortunately it was only low oil pressure and within a little over an hour a technician arrived and added oil to the unit and I was back up and running.
I have recommened A-Z Electric to several acquaintances which resulted in purchases.  The continuing comment  they have made to me was the gracious manner they were treated and the fair price they were quoted.  I highly recommend them.  A true pleasure to deal with.

From initial inquiry to final installation, the service A-Z provided was nothing short of excellent.  They arrived on time for all scheduled appointments, did a great job, and were the consummate professionals.  We would highly recommend A-Z for any and all electrical contracting needs.
