"Hi [Member Name Removed], We just checked our records and see that we received the processed permits from the township and mailed them to you on 1-6-15. If you can't find them and need copies please call the office at 609-758-5600 and we would be happy to send them. Once you have copies its as easy as calling your township construction department and scheduling for the inspections. You need to be there to give them access. I apologize if there was any confusion on the process. If you have any questions please call. Make it a Great Day! Larry"

"Hi [member name removed], The service we performed on you gas furnace was to insure the proper, safe operation of your heater. We check all safeties, adjust gas pressures as necessary, check the ignition, measure the flame sense rod and check the heat exchanger. Typically when you have a problem with air flow to other areas it has to do with the duct work. Sometimes you will have dampers that are closed or just poor installation from the builder. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Having a furnace running in perfect order will never overcome improper ductwork or poor duct design. There are possibly some additional things that can be done and diagnosed but it would require another visit. We are expert in all types of duct repair and I'm sure we would have some type of solution. Thank You, Larry House, President, Cranbury Comfort Systems"
I called Cranbury Comfort Systems early on March 28 and left a message with call center. I was called back within an hour, and scheduled an appointment for later that day.
Technician arrived, inspected furnace and found faulty part. He replaced a bad ignitor. System has been working perfectly every since.
Technician was very friendly and courteous, and cleaned up his work area.
My issue with the company is on the charge and what they did with my breaker. and electrical. He wired the outside condenser to a 50 amp breaker and said that would fix the problem for the short term. What he did NOT tell me is the wire being used wasn't even right for the 30 amp breaker it was hooked up to. It was a 10 gauge wire that was not big enough in the first place, and to put it on the 50 amp breaker ended up causing some much more serious problems. I asked the repairman if the switch he did was safe and he said it shouldn't cause any problems, just to call an electrician in the future or change out the breaker. Being an authorized Trane dealer and seeing that the wiring wasn't even big enough to run on the 20 amp breaker should have been something that he saw and put forth as part of the fix right away. I was charged close to $200 for the diagnoses fee and the breaker wiring alone when he should have not even considered performing that fix.
Fast forward a week later, my dryer tripped, I went to change out the breaker and noticed how hot the breaker was I was pulling out as i was going to change both the AC and Dryer breaker. There was sizzling going on in my box and I immediately called an electrician. He came out and fist looked at what the AC repair person did and could not believe that he put a 10 gauge wire on a 50amp breaker that the label on the AC unit specifically stated was a MAX of 30 amps.
As my box was aging and I had some other problems, he ended up changing out my entire box and upgrading me to a 200 amp box. He did all of this work on the same day and said I was luck that a fire wasn't started from the earlier repair. The electrician put in a larger wire, correct 30 amp breaker to the condenser and it cost me another $540 just to do that.
Comfort systems did an adequate job cleaning my unit, but failed miserably at fixing a problem and actually made things worse. For the $450 I spent, I ended up spending $3500 on a new box and electrical work. I am not sure if it will do any good to even contact Cranbury comfort, but wanted to make sure to mention there service here on Angies List.

"The National Electric code will allow you to run 10 gauge wire for 30 amp devices within the proper length. This AC unit has a minimum circuit ampacity of 25 amps and a max of 35 amps. I do not know why you were told that the wire was too small a gauge. 12 gauge wire would have been too small, not 10 gauge. The wire was OK for this application. Since the ac unit was connected to a disconnect box we felt it safe to make the temporary change as noted on our service ticket in order to get your ac running on a hot day. Our service ticket also noted that you call an electrician to change the faulty breaker. I'm sorry for the added work that you were charged to do. Our opinion was that you only needed a new breaker to fix the one that was broken. I'm sure the electrician had good reasons to replace the panel especially if he saw that the breakers were getting hot. If the ac unit continued to operate after the electrical panel was changed then it would make sense that the compressor was not drawing excessive power at all."
