He came on time. He checked our HVAC and said that its old and needs replacement to which we agreed. He said that he would send us a quote for a new HVac and that he will try and repair the unit. he started the unit and asked me to check if i could feel air blowing from the vents. I agreed that i did feel the air blowing out from the vents. He said that the air will warm up in some time and that he has successfully repaired the unit. If it feels that the air has stopped blowing he advised us just to give it a  whack the system will start again since the unit is old. He took the check and left . Needless to say the HVac unit stopped bowing air within 5-10 minutes of him leaving from here. Also he never mailed us a quote. He could have said that i may not be able to repair this unit since it is already broken, you need to replace it asap. This would have saved me my 140/-  that he took away for no reason. As a customer you tend to trust the reviews and the person who is checking the unit and is assumed to be an expert in that area. 
Very disappointed with such contractors. What kind of contractor advises "give system a whack and it will start".  
The approximate cost of "no service" costed us 140$ plus. but we learnt something useful :-
We brought Sears to do the job for us. They did a great job by the way.
Never trust contractors if you find a similar service done by sears home depot Lowes etc because its their "brand name" that stands behind the contract that you sign.

He has done nothing but the right thing by me. Other than my father, he is probably the smartest HVAC guy I've ever met. He diagnosed my problem in 10 minutes, which means there's no guessing. He knows what's going on and he fixed whatever was wrong. His pricing was very aggressive so he is going to do my service from here forward. In 5 minutes, I knew that he knew exactly what he was talking about.

He cleaned and serviced the furnace and it worked great for the winter. This year I will have him service the furnace again.

THEY CAME TWICE AND DIDN'T FIX ANYTHING. THEY WERE HERE FOR 10 MINUTES THE FIRST TIME AND THEN ORDERED A PART. THE SECOND TIME THEY HAD THE PART, BUT IT WAS THE WRONG ONE. THEY CHARGED ME 200 DOLLARS EACH TIME THAT THEY CAME TO THE HOUSE.
