We lost over $40,000 and never were able to purchase the home. We spent money out of pocket to finish the home (all part of an allowance that was supposed to come out of the sale at closing). The home was supposed to be completed in 6 weeks. After 7 months the home was still not done and our money was gone. The quality of construction was horrific. He continued to tell us he needed more money to finish the house and get the CO. When he finally got the CO we tried to close and there were so many liens and judgments against the house we could not close. All through the process we had a lawyer and we had contracts agreed upon and signed by all parties. He broke the contracts in so many ways and simply does not care, he has no money and has no fear of being sued. Everything was done under an LLC which has no assets, only debts. Our family was homeless for 7 months, he has threatened to sue US for breach of contract. Do NOT do business with this person, we are only one story in a line of people who have been defrauded all over the state of NJ by this man.
Description of Work: We went under contract with McCullough to finish an older house he owned and was in mid-stage of being remodeled, renovated and completed.
