A fast talking man with a middle eastern accent comes on and tells you he is calling from "the technical department of Windows". Your computer is infected with a virus and malware. He needs to access your computer, he wants in. This started with me over a year ago and I fell for it like a dummy. I did let them in. I had an eight year old computer that I was having problems with and he said all the right things. After he looked around a while he said he could help me for what I think was $265.00. I said let me check something out and I'll call you back.. I called the Microsoft company and they said it's not them. "We don't call you, you call us with a problem". So I changed passwords, cancelled credit cards. And since then I've replaced the computer. About every three months they try it again. I tell them that they are not what they say they are. This last time just to get him off the phone I said give me your number and I'll call you back which I didn't. He gave me 201-588-3343. So if you get calls like these just do yourself a favor and hang up.
