"This client had never called us with a problem. Had she called us with any issue, we would have returned to take care of it. We did not even do any plumbing work in the basement. I am confused how do you not know water is leaking for months. We have a very good reputation and we always come back to take care of anything if we are responsible or given the opportunity."
I first used T & A in Spring 2004 to do front siding. The work done was to remove the old aluminum siding, all the other sidings underneath down to the studs. Plywood sheathing, Tyvek wrap, insulation boards, and then fiber cement siding were installed.: a very thorough job. A new cornice built to my design and decorative exterior window trims were also done. Original old wood double doors were stripped, rotten trim on the doors replaced with millwork made to match, and new beveled edge glass installed.
In Spring 2011, I once again called upon Arthur and his T & A crews to do an even larger job of similar siding work on the back and side of the house with the installation of 20 full frame (not insert) windows throughout the house, plus installation of a wall of French doors leading out to the deck. Beautiful interior woodwork was done around all the new windows. The interior wood trim around the French doors and around a bay window is simply gorgeous -- truly custom work.
The T & A crew are courteous, prompt (here at 7am, out by 4pm), and completely trustworthy. I am "hands on," knowledgeable, and I do a lot of research before I start a job. I specifiy exactly what I want (brand names, specific products) and Arthur has always delivered. He is responsive to any problems or issues and they get resolved. Arthur was also willing to deal with the issue of a problem neighbor and we kept the peace.
Nothing is straight or even in these old houses. Finding a contractor who not only knows how to deal with these issues but knows how to make it "look right" is worth its weight in gold. T & A is expensive, but you know you are going to get your job done right.
