I thought of refacing an outdated 8X10 galley kitchen since I had been told it is much cheaper than remodeling. I called home depot in addition to two other contractors for an estimate. The representative showed up promptly on the assigned date. After measuring everything, he said that just the cost of changing the cabinet doors and drawer fronts along with the cabinet and drawer knobs, with discounts, would be about $9,000. Without discounts, they quoted a much higher price for the same work. One of the things they gave a discount for (which is reflected in the $9000 price) is signing them up then and there, which I was not prepared to do. As it happened, I also got a quote for a gut remodel of the kitchen, and that turned out to be far more cost-effective than the home depot price for just refacing. The full remodel was a few thousand dollars more than the home-depot price for refacing, but hey, it was for a full remodel, not just a bare-bones refacing job.

Not recommended.

The Home Depot Home Services sales rep came to our and was excellent. He explained everything in detail. Next the planner came in for the measurements which was completed in about one hour. We were told that the normal lead time is 24 days, but the fabrication of the doors was complete in 2 weeks. By the end of the third weeks since the sales rep visited us, we had our kitchen re-faced. I am very happy with the results because the cabinets look great. I do however have concerns about the longevity for laminated cabinets, but for 5 years Home Depot has an unlimited guarantee.

THIS COMPANY IS BASICALLY A PRETTY GOOD COMPANY. I LIKED THE SERVICES THAT THEY PROVIDE, AND THEY SEEM TO BE VERY PROFESSIONAL ABOUT WHAT THEY DO. THEIR TIMING SEEMS TO BE A LITTLE BIT OFF THOUGH.

WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK THAT HOME DEPOT DID IN OUR HOME. THEY DID NOT LEAVE BEHIND ANY GARBAGE FOR US TO CLEAN UP AFTER THE JOB. WE WOULD DEFINITELY USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

THE EMPLOYEE THAT CAME OUT TO DO SOME PRELIMINARY WORK AND GIVE US AN ESTIMATE NEVER GOT BACK IN TOUCH WITH US. WE HAVE TRIED CALLING THEM BACK, BUT THEY STILL HAVE NOT COME BACK TO OUR HOME TO FINISH THE JOB.

I WAS NOT SATISFIED WITH THIS COMPANY. IT TOOK THEM TWO MONTHS TO GET THE CARPET INSTALLED AND THEY HAVE THE WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

THEY DO A VERY GOOD JOB. THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL IN EVERYTHING THAT THEY HAVE DONE FOR US. THEY ARE VERY PROMPT. THEY CUSTOM MADE THE DOOR FOR US. THEY DID NOT LEAVE ANYTHING FOR US TO CLEAN UP. WE WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS.

IT WAS THE FIRST TIME WE HAD EVER USED THIS SORT OF A SERVICE WITH CARPET INSTALLATION. THEY DID A GOOD JOB AND FOR THE MOST PART, I WAS SATISFIED WITH HOW THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES.
