After several attempts to identify a company willing to repair portions of the stucco finish on my home I made contact with Jonathan at C&S Stucco.  He was responsive, professional, a good communicator, and knew his business.  He provided an estimate, scheduled the work, and it was completed on time, and the work was of the highest quality.  I'd highly recommend his company for this type of work.

The men from CS Stucco were professional and courteous.  The demolition was done, new stucco put on and paint coating was accomplished ahead of schedule.  The cleanup was completed every day, we weren't left living in a mess while the work was ongoing, a big plus for me.  When an unexpected problem did occur they were very responsive and corrected the problem without hesitation or delay on their part and the correction was done to my complete satisfaction.
I highly recommend CS Stucco, and would used them again without hesitation.

It was superb. Lance came and he was here when he said he would be to give me an estimate. He was very straightforward and did not try to sell me something I did not need. I thought about it overnight and called the next day. They did a beautiful job, it was immaculate. Everything was draped off, nothing was left behind to give the indication that there was work done. His crew was excellent.

During superstore Sandy a tree fell against our house and damaged (punctured and scratched) the stucco on the front of our house. When we called CS Stucco they came out shortly after our call to see the damage and to prepare an estimate. The estimate was very thorough and our insurance company even commented that it was one of the most professional and detailed work estimates they had seen.
The crew CS Stucco sent to perform the work were very professional and experienced and managed by a foreman who oversaw all the work. The repairs were done very well and they were able to match the stucco color of the repair work (main area and trim) to the original stucco areas that were not damaged during the storm. The crew was very clean as they performed their work. They set up scaffolding and covered all areas around them, including planting beds beneath them, with tarps. After they cleaned up you could not even tell they were at our house.
It has now been almost 5 months since the work was completed and if you hadn't seen the damage after the storm you would have never known the stucco was damaged. It was a pleasure dealing with the team at CS Stucco. We would definitely use them again in the future.

This company is top notch.  Very happy with the results.  They do things the right way (no short cuts) to ensure highest quality finish.  Very good job of cleaning up and excellent customer service.  Steve was very helpful (and patient) in helping us pick the right color and type of stucco.  We changed our minds multiple times on the color but he was accomodating each time.  We highly recommend them to anyone who want to do stucco work.

Our home is 24 years old. The material originally used as stucco siding has been discontinued do to its inefficiency. We had to resurface with real stucco. Stucco is the only exterior material that can not be purchased and applied. It must be directly layered to the exterior of a building. I highly recommend the CS Stucco and Plaster Company of North Haledon, New Jersey. The job took three/four weeks. The entire house was engulfed in scaffolding. First a layer of heavy plastic sheeting was stapled over plywood. That was topped with metal screening stapled and then nailed to the studs at 7 inch intervals. Two layers of cement followed, allowing curing time between each layer. The cement was the messiest part of the job. On the third week the stucco was applied in three layers. The first cream colored Magna Wall surface had a semi smooth texture. Over that the brown cross bars were precisely taped off and applied giving the stucco a Tudor d cor. And lastly the cream colored Magna Wall surface was again applied with a towel by one artisan creating a textured pattern (choice of the home owner). This company brought all the scaffolding, a port-a-potty for its crew, cement mixer and a 20 yard dumpster. Almost every surface was covered with plastic and tar paper to protect the landscape. Every window was taped off with plastic sheeting, and the utmost care was giving for the surroundings. There was some damage but it was minor compared to the extend of work being done. And when the stucco was finished curing the men took the entire day cleaning up cement debris, replacing gutters, chalking seams and generally leaving the house as they had found it. We had several estimates from several companies with different versions on how stucco should be applied, but CS Stucco is a second generation company, with pride in their work and their workmen and confidence in their results. We agree. Contact: Steve Gorter at [email protected] or call (973)423-0770 ext.12 A Postscript! We no longer need to paint the exterior. Cement siding does not attract bugs, woodpeckers or dry rot. WE ARE MAINTENANCE FREE for a long, long time.
