April Fresh Cleaning Inc

I live about 500 miles from my aunt. Stopped by 82 year olds aunts house while I was on a trip in the area to find she had stopped cleaning. Trash all through the house. Piles of it. Fridge was full of mostly spoiled food. Contacted April Fresh and Stacy was understanding, I had the kitchen and bathroom quoted to start. Stacy brought a crew of six and spent three hours removing trash and cleaning. Stacy sent me before and after pictures. Fantastic job. I attached before and after of the fridge. Same result for the rest of the kitchen and the bathroom. I will use their services again.

I have used this company three times so far. I was very pleased with two of the cleanings. It's hard to get a permanent time slot but the date is easy to get. I would recommend their services- you need to be specific as to what you want done.

I have been using them for ten years. They are on time, very thorough, and have good price. They will do whatever I ask them to do. They would even do something that I did not schedule. If it is not a big job, they would do it right then without charging me extra. So, it was all good. They always come with the appropriate number of people for the house. They always identify who their names are and identify who the leader of the cleaning team. They tell me in advance who is cleaning what for. They ask me to come and inspect an area before they move on to another area. They are just great. They come every three months.

I used April Fresh for an initial cleaning and bi-weekly for a couple of months. I work from home, so I was there each time they came to clean. The initial cleaning was good, although one of the cleaners had to leave in the middle, which made it take longer. At future cleanings, the team coming to my house changed and they did not get along with each other. The woman who cleaned the bathrooms was really fantastic, but the others were less impressive. I spoke to Stacy about one of the newer workers who was rude to the other cleaners and did a poor job. Stacy did not seem to appreciate my feedback, and asked me to give her a chance to get through her training.
During the next cleaning, one of the ladies was talking loudly on her cell phone about leaving the business and going out on her own, saying she had secured a number of clients to go with her. That same day, they had not swept or mopped any of the wood floors in my house, except in the kitchen. I had to sweep and mop the whole first floor after they had left. This was the point at which I decided to end my service. I emailed Stacy to let her know what had happened, but she never responded or offered an apology.

Stacy and her crew were very friendly, professional and thorough. I enjoy turning over the housework to them! I would recommend them to anyone looking for help around the house.

Stacy and her employees with April Fresh Cleaning were very nice, but overall our experience with this company was quite poor. As this job was outside the realm of cleaning houses, it is understandable that the job cleaning the interior of the ice cream trucks would be, in some ways, different. However, our major concerns with April Fresh were that the company appeared to be disorganized, the cleaning job was sub par, and April Fresh ignored the specific instructions we gave on how the trucks are to be cleaned. Each truck is equipped with three small sinks and one faucet. The faucet is there for the employees to wash their hands throughout the day, but it is not meant to be left running or to aid in the cleaning of the trucks. When we hired April Fresh Cleaning, we explained to Stacy that the sinks on the trucks should not be used as a water source for cleaning the entire interior. The faucet has very little water pressure, and there is a limited supply of water that comes from a tank on the vehicle. As our employees are out driving for often ten hours a day, they need that supply of water to wash their hands or to quickly clean sticky surfaces. We explained to Stacy that to clean the trucks, she and her employees would have to get water from a nearby sink in the garage which is approximately 15 yards away from where the trucks are parked. This industrial sized sink has an unlimited supply of hot water which is needed to clean the trucks properly. We asked her specifically to use that sink instead of those on the trucks. Despite our request, Stacy and/or her employees continued to use the sinks on the trucks. As a result of their ignoring our request, the water supply on three trucks was exhausted within four days of April Fresh being hired to clean the trucks. Luckily we discovered the lack of water before our drivers went out for the day, so we were able to refill the tanks before the trucks left the parking lot. Also, as a result of these sinks being used against our request, the heating coil to the hot water on one truck was burnt out and not functioning on the day that my husband was taking that truck to health inspection. Due to April Fresh ignoring our instruction not to use the sink, the truck did not pass the health inspection because this vehicle had a burnt out heating coil and no hot water. While these problems are easily remedied by paying for and installing a new heating coil and refilling the water supply for the sinks, the frustrating part of this experience is that we gave specific instruction that was simply ignored on the basis that, according to Stacy, "it took too much time to fill up a bucket at the sink in the garage." While we understand that Stacy is also trying to run a business in which timing is important, cutting corners, doing a poor cleaning job, and ignoring our instruction, is unacceptable. We have cleaned these trucks ourselves countless times before this year, and even with walking to use the sink in the garage, cleaning one truck takes 30 minutes. It was not our intention to be difficult or demanding, but these trucks constitute a business, and any delay in their being clean, having water, and having parts that function properly, impacts our livelihood. After this experience with April Fresh, we discontinued our use of their services after four days. As I said, I think the women of April Fresh were friendly and nice; however, I do think their professionalism could be improved, and I think they should listen to and respect the requests of those who hire them.

They come on time, they don't mess around and they do a very thorough job. I have had a good experience with them. I would definitely recommend them to my friends.
