New City Movers

It didn't! Money was paid but no work was done! Angies list had them listed as a 4.8 of 5 at the time of me booking the job. Now i can not find them on your list of providers. I first received an estimate from David at New City Movers on 5/29/20. I booked the job on 6/16. We scheduled for 6/23 with an alternate date of 6/24. I would be notified the night before as to a time. On the 22nd, they called to inform us that they needed to change the pickup date to 6/24. They then called on 6/23 to say a truck broke down and they would not be able to arrive in the morning on the 24 as agreed, but that they would try for that evening of Wednesday 6/24 or Thursday morning. Then on the 24th they cancelled again and said Friday or Saturday, maybe, but they thought it would be more like Monday or Tuesday or we can have a refund. We sold the property Thursday morning, we had to be out Thursday. The new owner was very considerate and gave us til Friday, there was no option of waiting until the following week. We had to find another mover for a next day move the quote was twice as much. After finding and booking an alternate mover we said yes to the refund. We received an email stating that after supplying the appropriate info, they would review and decide within 21 days IF they were going to refund the money. And that if they did agree, it would require a notarized Non-disclosure agreement. WHAT?!?!
