Hired 2022 to remodel kitchen and small siding job. After starting in April, 2023 the job is still not done and we have paid in full for job. Issues include: an electrician and plumber being put on permits that have never been involved in our job despite being promised to "do it the right way" per the salesman, Bryan, being charged $1500 for a dumpster that was never at our house, the company owing us $1800 for a countertop reimbursement (they do not dispute this but won't pay ), remaining issues with plumbing, electrical work, and general contractor work, us paying for a year warranty and no longer wanting them in our house. 7/20 /23 was the last time they were out to the house with workers. After this they have been dodging us and saying they would come back and pay us the $1800 or not responding to our texts. After making a complaint with NJ Consumer Affairs, Bryan had a lawyer threaten us with a countersuit if we don't let them finish the job. We are actively sueing right now.

I had the whole house resided and was satisfied with the work. The issue i'm now having is that the exterior attic vent fell out and after reporting it to the company they have not responded. I was told during the sales presentation that they stood behind their work, but unfortunately it appears that they dont. I am still waiting for a reponse

Do not hire them. Bryan will make all kinds of promises during the writing of the contract and then he will disappear. He seems super agreeable and he says he will be there every step of the way but as soon as the contract is signed he will send all of your messages to his subcontractors. Some of the subcontractors are okay and others are very difficult to work with. There are subcontractors to the subcontractors and they will all point the finger at each other when mistakes are made. The designer, Mariana, is not helpful at all. She is completely unresponsive and has no ideas for design. She will draw up plans on the computer so that the builders have them, and that is the end of her contributions. I hired them because it seemed like they would be a one stop shop to simplify my kitchen remodel. I thought the convenience would justify the price. Instead there were different subcontractors coming and going and I had to manage them. Work quality is average if you catch all their mistakes but it's a ton of hassle to get the project done right. For context, my project was started in mid-July and it is incomplete as of today (11/27/23). Oh and they have changed their business model from kitchens/bathrooms to siding/roofs. Of course they sold themselves as being completely committed to kitchens/bathrooms. The subcontractors told me about the business change as an explanation for why the service was so shoddy.

Great workers and communication. There are some issues that need to be taken care of, but they have been extremely helpful in rying to get the issues resolved. Communication is wonderful. Brian always gets back to you promptly.

The final result, while lovely, was not what was planned due to the installers making the shower larger than was planned so there wasn?t enough tile to go all the way up to the ceiling and not enough room for the vanity I originally ordered.

The roofing crew arrived promptly, started right away, did an outstanding job with removing shingles, and doing complete GAF roof install. Finished in a remarkable time. The whole process with the company was excellent from start to finish. Everything was beyond well done. I would highly recommend this company.

I highly recommend this company for your kitchen or home remodel. We hired them to do a complete renovation of our 1990â s kitchen. We bought a house that needed to be entirely renovated and did most of the work ourselves, but didnâ t want to do all the work of renovating a kitchen. Our old kitchen was complete with carpeted flooring and soffits. When we first met with the company, Brian reviewed their process thoroughly and showed us all of their licenses and qualifications which made me feel safe in their hands. We signed our contract that day and waited for our cabinets to arrive. The longest part of the process was waiting for the cabinets, but since that is the usual these days we were fine with that. They were well worth the wait. The cabinets are solid wood with beautiful dovetail drawers and soft close hinges. After the cabinets were in, work began within a week. Michael and his crew came in and demoâ d our kitchen in two days. They were so neat and thorough. There was barely any dust in the other rooms surrounding my kitchen, and they had ripped up the floors, taken out the soffits, and all of the drywall. Michael always explained the next steps of our project and any issues he ran into. The entire process ran very smoothly between waiting for the town to come out and do inspections. Michael and his crew always communicated with us so that we knew what days he would be working at our house and what time he would arrive. Any 5 star employee that came to our home was extremely respectful and kind to us and our property. Not only did the work come out beautiful, but their kitchen selection website was very helpful in choosing what we wanted for our new kitchen. Overall we had a great experience with this company and are considering hiring them again for a bathroom remodel. Our new kitchen is absolutely gorgeous complete with white cabinets that reach the ceiling, gold pendant lights, gray marble flooring, and beautiful marble backsplash. All tile work was done to perfection.

I had my kitchen remodeled top to bottom, new appliances, floor, cabinets, molding and lights. Very happy with the outcome, the finished project exceeded my expectations. The crew was friendly and professional.

We chose 5 star for our exterior remodel. Mike was professional and very helpful in helping us choose the type, style, and colors for our siding and doors. The crew that did the work were also professional and very thorough with their work. Everything came out beautifully and installed correctly. No cutting corners with these gentlemen. The price was a little higher than some other contractors, but the quality of material and quality in their workmanship was worth it. One door was delivered with the incorrect glass (distributor issue), but remedied quickly.

From beginning to end Mike gave me a great experience. Mike was very professional and knowledgeable. He helped me every step. The installation crew has been on time, cleaned everyday, and kept me updated daily.

Do not hire them, runaway, hire someone else

Five Star Remodeling just recently completed remodeling 3 bathrooms for us, and we couldnâ t be happier. From start to finish the job was completed for the most part on time with some minor delays with good communication.

Mike was wonderful and gave a great presentation. The project time lines met Mt needs perfectly. The crew was very respectful and cleaned up very well. I would absolutely recommend.

This job was completed with exceptional attention to detail from the beginning to end. Our salesman was extremely knowledgeable of the available products and how they would interface with our home. Once this was worked through, the installation crew arrived to do the work. This was a professional group of men that provided a stress-free experience throughout the completion of our project. They finished the job on time and left the property very clean and neat. The company followed up with us to ensure we were completely satisfied, which we are!! We went with Five star after trying to use another well rated company ( forever construction ) the owners of forever were rude and did not value our business but like they say everything happens for a reason. I called Matt from 5 star and within a few days we had a competitive quote with exceptional service. After just a week works started. The crew was friendly and knowledgeable. In my opinion they have a client for life.

We had Mike and his crew replace siding, new windows and a new front porch and it looks amazing. Mike was always receptive to anything we needed and we are extremely pleased with the results!
