Very pleased with the whole process and the outcome. I engaged many different companies with JP Paving giving me the right vibe that they would delivery quality & value. It was a big investment and I want to ensure the result would last many years. My whole drive was removed, new QP put down to adjust levels and establish a great foundation (note - QP is important - do not use recycled concrete to save costs). A high quality pavement was applied of at least 3" when compacted. I see that in many places this was well exceeded, and in some places more than 5". Very pleased with the outcome and the price. This was a large driveway (7000sq ft), and took John's crew 1.5 days to complete.

If you are looking to re-do your driveway look no further than John and his team. He is a master of his trade with the utmost professionalism. I will provide some background prior to jumping into my review. The project I was planning to do involved replacing the existing asphalt, extending the entire drive by about 200 sq ft, lining the driveway with a channel drain, connect my gutter system to the channel drain and install a catch basin which the channel drains would eventually flow into. The entire driveway would also be graded into catch basin. So as you can see this was not your normal tear up and replace job. From the estimate to the completion of the project I can say John and his team were fantastic. Responsiveness 10/10: In some cases, this is half the battle with some companies. John would always respond to my inquiries within the same day. Never had to send a follow-up email or chase him down. Knowledge 10/10: John and his family have been doing this for three generations. When he first came to do the estimate and I gave him the background of the job he was offering advice on things I did not even think about. Working with someone like this gives you peace of mind. Talent/Ability 10/10: Lets just say you can tell John and his team has done this before. They have a system for each phase of the project to ensure it is done correctly. They are also dedicated to paying attention to every detail. End Result 10/10: Once the project was done I could not be happier. Not only does it look amazing, it is exactly what I requested. We have had two major rain storms since the driveway was complete and everything works the way it should. Not a single drop of water is left on the driveway once the rain stops. I could not be more satisfied with the results John and his team were able to accomplish and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

John came to my home on a Saturday and discussed the project. I was impressed by his knowledge and the amount of time he spent to answer my questions and explain in detail the scope of the project. the job was done professionally and the result is excellent, I would highly recommend John. Also when the job was done the area was as clean as it was prior to the job.

John and the entire JP Paving and Hardscaping team were incredible from the initial consultation to the end of the project. John walked us through the entire process and made sure that we understood what was going to happen next and when it would happen. The steps and driveway look great!!! Some things to keep in mind about JP Paving: 1. They are on time. 2. John stays onsite during the job to ensure that the project is constantly monitored for quality. 3. They have a professional crew. 4. They own all the machines that they need so they can right to work. 5. They are a family owned business. (John's father actually came out the last day to inspect the work that had been completed to that point. Incredible!) 6. We paid exactly the amount on the quote!

I am disabled and this company handled all details but they were short a little on lineage of driveway.

The manual part was 100% fine. They started around 10/11 am and finished around 3, took the other part of the team to get over by 4pm. They showed up in force - good bunch of workers!
The piece looks ok, but after they left, I saw a piece left too high from the sidewalk so water might not flow it's best, however it is just not perfect, it is not a show stopper and can be fixed if we need to add cement to the sidewalk corner or carefully chip asphalt. Very small piece.
What I am more concerned over is that we did not ask nor were reminded how long to drive vehicles on, I have it 3 days,we had some cold nights and it felt rock solid, but I have two slight tire depressions where I had my truck one day and some of the edges I think are a minute bit low and hope it does not sink and create a lip, I think sealer and some roof patch may make it look better.
Overall this team does provide a decent service for lower cost, although they did a better job in 2008 for our drive redo than this patch for the cost, I think 1500 would have been more reasonable for the actual finished job up to now.
He did provide some work done (included) to heat up a part on the regular drive where it had sunk a small bit and they re-rolled it.
Still recommend them.

I have to change my score as I have seen major cracks pop up and I the piece they tried to fix from their 2008 job did nothing, they rolled it too far down, the water still collects, I should have taken his other option to make a patch in spite of ugliness.

So overall I would rather pay another company or should have asked for more, BUT for a real outstanding job. I feel I got a medium effort to suit my initial feeling to pay less and get more a bargain, I got what I paid for, but would for now on pay more to get a #1 job and to have them come back and check things out, I think the original drive job was left to chance too much.

Yet they seem a first rate team so I am confused too.

Well done, would use them again without hesitation. Also did a nice job of cleaning up.

JP Paving stopped by the property twice to first give an estimate, and then close the deal. They were responsive, honest, and fast-working. Our job was completed within two-days and with quality in mind.
