I have a Subaru and I go to my dealer because it's right across the street from me. I never take it anywhere else. I love them. Actually, they did the regular maintenance and then after the ice storm my wiper blades were frozen under the ice and then when we turned it on, they disconnected from the blades. And so I took it over there and they did like a quickie service, which they can do, they do like a 30 minute; they just check you in and out. You don't make an appointment or anything, it's just sort of on the fly, and they did that. There was a cost but it was nominal, but they washed my car for free which I thought was great. I really love these guys. I think they really go out of their way. They're extremely easy to deal with. You know everybody says dealers are so high priced but I don't find them to be that way necessarily. Car repairs are expensive and I think they're proactive in terms of finding things, but they're not pushy. It's not like I take it in for an oil change and it comes out with new brakes. I think they're just real honest, real high integrity people. I really like them. I'm really delighted because I bought my car someplace else but then I moved here, and the dealership was pretty much walking distance from my house; so, pretty great. I have no complaints about them whatsoever.

My wife bought a Subaru from Subaru of Cherry Hill 10 years ago. It was inconvenient to go all the way up there and they are expensive there. There's our neighborhood guy here, we just started taking it to him.We got a pretty good deal there, my brother knew one that works on the accounting or something so we got basically the price for somebody that works there so I think it's 85%. The car was excellent, they were very good there and very professional. When she was getting work done there, we never got a problem. It's a little expensive and it's hard for us to get all the way up there.

Steve the salesman was great. I knew what I wanted and went into the showroom ready. They matched my bank rate and I explained to them that I would be driving the car back to Indiana where I live for part of the year. They took care of my plates and insurance on the day I picked up the car and basically saved me a trip back to my home state just to get my plates. I still have to go back into the dealer to get my Indiana plate when they come in. As most people, I think I paid too much, but I bought an extended warranty also. I don't like the and quot;dealer packageand quot; they tack on though, roughly $1,000 for pin striping and things that I wouldn't buy, but they reduced that price for me. I plan on getting the vehicle serviced there also and hope the Subaru lives up to its name. When not being serviced there I will be having it done in Indiana and will be able to compare the two. After having a GMC truck for the past 10 years in where the SES light comes on every month I am ready for some dependability!

The AC work went fine, but it's hard to screw up the early stages as it's highly procedural: Fill up the system with coolant and a tracer dye. Use the car's AC until it doesn't work anymore then bring it back and the tech looks under the hood with a fluorescent light to see where the dye is. That shows where the leak is, and then you fix it.
The problem was with their engine service: I have an engine misfire in 1-2 cylinders. It's pretty obvious when it happens. They claimed they and quot;Couldn't get the car to exhibit the symptoms I had brought it in for.and quot; I can get it to do that within 15min of driving - so either their mechanics are incompetent or didn't really try that hard.
So when I picked it up, without any resolution to the problem, (but still having to PAY for the work done) lo and behold 15min or so later the car's and quot;check engineand quot; light went on because the engine began misfiring. I couldn't bring it back since it was nighttime, so I tried to bring it back the next day to show SOMEONE the condition I was talking about - since the misfire was happening and they didn't have to bother recreating it. The foreman told me he couldn't see it now, he wouldn't even peel anyone away for a few minutes just to look and get a diagnosis, that I could drop off my car now but they couldn't get to it Monday, etc. I live in Philly and this is not an easy thing to do when I need my car for work and travel. Especially when their so-called shuttle-service is dependent on only one driver who apparently can skip work without repercussion: and quot;Yeah, sorry, we don't have a shuttle today. The driver didn't show up. If you want to get your car you'll have to get here on your own.and quot;
