Simkins Builders did a flawless job. True craftsmen. They always call back and show up exactly when they say they will.. I always add things to what I originally ask for and Simkins always surpasses my expectations. For any type of work done in my home, I would never call anyone but them. The are the best. True professionals and I feel like I'm getting a bargain for the unbelievable work that they do.

Jim Simkins, Jim Jr. and Raymond are the best of the best. They are old school professionals. The job was completed neatly, promptly and perfectly. Simkins builders are extremely fair with price and the job you will get will far surpass the quality and craftsmanship of anyone anywhere. Simply the best.

The wonderful Simkins Builders installed a beautiful new front door for me. The new door was larger than my old door so pipes had to be moved and electrical switches had to be moved over. Mr. Simkins, Jim Jr. and Raymond are the ultimate craftsmen. The entire job was done neatly and perfectly. No one could have done this job better. True professionals and I will be calling them for anything that we have done in the future.

Jim, Jim Jr and Ray were all punctual for the job. They actually started on Sunday and finished up on Monday, June 23, 2014. They took no short cuts and made sure every detail was complete in installing 11 cabinets. The cabinets look absolutely awesome hung!!! I live in an older house where not every wall/corner is square. You'd never know it by looking at the cabinets :) There was no clean-up needed after they left. They took care of it all! Thank you guys for doing such a meticulous job!!!!!

They were excellent. We had a problem with the door that I secured from a big box store. Mr. Simkins came back and replaced the door that we had acquired. It was an excellent experience. I'm trying to get hold of him again because I want to replace a back door so that should speak of my satisfaction. He is here when he says and he does excellent and professional work. He was very tidy, careful and fastidious about the way he left the work site. The reliability and capability were the main things. It was great. The price was very good; it was better than most. I was more than happy with his work.

. Purchased my new prehung door from Home Depot. Secured the services of Simkins Builders to install the new door. Mr. Simkins discovered the new door was warped but was able to fit the door adequately until a replacement could be obtained upon which time he agreed to replace the warped one with what will hopefully be a and quot;Trueand quot; rendition. Mr. Simkins also stated that had he purchased the door himself, he would be responsible to correcting the discrepancy. On that note I must say....the folks at the Cherry Hill Home Depot were most gracious and helpful. I could not have asked for better service or greater understanding. Yeah, it's a hassle but far less expensive than a Pella or Anderson offering and using their people to provide the goods and services. Yep, you get what you pay for but that doesn't mean you have to go top shelf all the time. I'm no pauper but I'm not wealthy either; which brings me back to Simkins builders. He wasn't the least expensive but pretty darned close. I entertained 4 different evaluations and price quotes. Glad I had some smelling salts handy after hearing 2 of them. Whew! Mr. Simkins provided first class work for what I consider a very reasonable fee. And equally important, he returns phone calls and emails. I've attempted to deal with more than a few and quot;Professionalsand quot; that could take much needed lesson in professionalism from Mr. Simkins' book. So I am waiting to have my and quot;New Doorand quot; hung in place of the warped one. I'll let you know how that turns out. Kurt Raup

If you have a remodeling project to do, I strongly recommend hiring Simkins Builders and Remodelers. I hired them to build a new roof over my kitchen on the back of my house, and also a portico roof over my back door. I hired another company years ago to put the shed roof over my kitchen, and the work was substandard and the roof ended up leaking. So, needless to say I was nervous and apprehensive about hiring another contractor and being disappointed again. Simkins Builders was recommended to me by a friend who told me they were voted one of the best contractors in The Courier Post Readers of 2012, so I decided to give them a call. I am glad that I did. Here are some of Jim’s qualities that stood out to me. Jim is responsive. He delivered an estimate to me in a timely fashion. When I called him he called me back. He addressed all of our concerns and if I had questions he took the time to answer them in terms that I would understand. Jim is honest. He told me what he was going to do, and he did it. He completed all work exactly as the contract stated. Jim’s work is of the highest quality. I never wanted to spend money to fix the back of the house because I felt it unnecessary. I was wrong, everyone that stops by to see the work is impressed by the quality of work and the overall design. Jim’s price was competitive. He is not the cheapest price. But the quality of work is second to none. I believe I received the highest value for the money that I invested in the project. Jim kept the job site clean. It’s a cool feeling to come home everyday for work and see the progress of a remodeling project. To top that off, the the job site was cleaned up everyday. At no point did it feel like I was coming home to a construction zone. In summary I would hire Simkins Builders and Remodelers again in a heartbeat. As a matter of fact they will be replacing my front door next month. He has definitely earned my trust. If you're in need of remodeling work give Jim a call, you will be glad you did.

Our experience with Simkins Builders was excellent. Being old cinderblock walls, the potential for the job to be extremely messy and invasive was high. They took the time to make sure that any dust created and any mess was contained and kept to a minimum. The job was completed on time and on budget. In the end, we are very happy with Simkins Builders and would recommend them to anyone needing work done.
