after contracting with the roofer and accepting his estimate, he was given 1/2 down and it was agreed he would start (barring bad weather) the next week. He didn't, and when trying to call him, he rarely returned my calls. When I finally got in touch with him, and threatened to cancel and get my deposit back, he became more attentive, but still did not come except to dump extra supplies in our driveway. These supplies were there for 3 weeks before he finally started. At the end of the job, he promised to come back to finish the gutter drainage extention. A simple job. He still hasn't returned. I think the roof is OK, but if it isn't, I don't feel comfortable that he would honor the warrantee.
