Got a call right away when I asked for a quote. Very responsive, arrived on time and was flexible with scheduling. We really got good pictures and a very good idea of what was so. He had very good knowledge of the mechanics, history and utilities. Report was very thorough, easy for the layman to understand and explanations were super helpful! Was able to get the contractor(John) to my home very quickly. He did an inspection to detect any moisture in the walls and ceiling and took air samples for testing. Received results in about 3 days. He took the time to go over the results and explain them to me. Fortunately I did not have a problem so remediation was not necessary.

John was great to work with. He worked the inspection around the schedule of all involved; provided a comprehensive written report in a timely manner, and had a good conversation with us, on site about the property.

Very professional, previously reviewed but it was the wrong party. Did not hire but utmost courtesy and professionalism. Scheduling did not permit the work to be done.

Dir Home Inspections performed a property inspection on a house I am in the process of purchasing. Let me start by saying, "it was awesome working with them". I wasn't present for the initial inspection and he was very patient to explain anything I missed. He explained all of the issues in depth as well as educate me on areas I was not familiar with. He was prompt and efficient, I would definitely recommend.

He makes sure the home buyer is aware of red flag items and then in a calm manner explains other needs that may or may not be urgent but rather items of normal upkeep. I can't recommend John enough. He was extremely thorough and explained EVERYTHING. I learned a whole bunch about different house components, as he made the inspection into almost an education session. This was invaluable to first-time home buyers. Complete instructive inspection

John is a true professional in every aspect of his business. He picked up on every nook and cranny, explained everything thoroughly, and here comes the best part, saved us a whole lot of money!! Here's why: 1. John suggested that we not close on the property before addressing the cracks in the front cement stairs. The estimate to fix that came back at $10.6K !!!!! Seller decided to give back only $5K (unacceptable to us) 2. John said that the garage had been converted to a large hang out room and John started asking owner questions about the city permits and paperwork and seller lied to my face in front of both realtor and saying he had been fined and he had paperwork to prove it. The city disagreed and said fines were unpaid and we walked away from the deal!! John saved us thousands and thousands of dollars and we are very gratefull!! John, sorry it took so long for this review but we had to split up and are renting two apts., so I don't have my computer set up. Thanks from the Negron Family for all that you did for us to protect our interests!!

John was wonderful to speak to when I called with a bunch of questions. The report was great and easy to read! He made sure I was with him during the inspection, walking around the home and understood what he was inspecting. This was great because I did not know some of the things he was talking about originally. He clarified everything in a simple term so I understood. Even after the inspection was over, he still gave extra information to help me out. I highly recommend John and Dir Home Inspections.

John with Dir Home Inspections was great. He came to the inspection, arrived early, and was extremely thorough explaining all of his findings in detail. This being our first house inspection ever, John was more than generous to answer all of our questions, advise what they look for, etc. I was able to pay on the spot once he was finished and we were satisfied. First time home buyer here. John showed up on time and went thru the house starting from outside and looked and explained everything to me. Checked the things as a first time buyer I wouldn't even know to look for and sent 45 pages long report which explained everything in detail and rated. Whether it's good, fair or poor. Definitely hire him again.

I was very impressed and couldn’t be happier with my home inspector, John Doering. He was very professional showing up on a company vehicle and in uniform. He pointed out many potential problems both minor and major. His emailed report was detailed and he took excellent photos to highlight the defects. He identified a mold problem that was very concerning since I am allergic.I would certainly recommend him and his company.

John did a tremendous job during my home inspection and provided a very detailed report. He is very thorough in his inspection and was a great resource for a first-time home buyer like myself. Most importantly, he identified several issues that represented potential long-term liabilities if the purchase has gone forward. His recommendation for mold testing (which I didn't schedule) and the quality of the testing he does as well as the detailed report was critical in convincing the seller to mitigate the mold in the basement. He also identified compliance issues with the deck and possible termite issues.

he was detailed, but for radon test, he did not warn us that he had to pick up the radon package himself, he said now it's too many daysso he has to redo the radon test and that will be another couple hundred dollars. I wish we had known that before.
