Movers 201 Inc

Movers 201 are wonderful! They were punctual, professional, and careful, as well as good-humored and polite. The cost was extremely reasonable (I had gotten a number of other estimates). I would hire them again in an instant, and I highly recommend them to anyone. Moving can be very stressful, and hiring a good mover is very important!

They started off very professional, were able to schedule a move within a couple of days as my plans had fallen through unexpectedly. They told us it typically takes 7-10 days to arrive from cross country, but they put a safety window of 5-15 days on our contract. They told us we would get a call from the drivers the day before delivery. Fast forward and we have been here for 8 days (after taking 5 days to drive across the country ourselves) and they have been avoiding our calls and not responding to texts. When we finally got a hold of them last week, they tell us the earliest would be Monday, now they tell us the earliest would be the end of this week (which 4 days beyond the 15 day window on the contract), but won’t tell us a date or even where the stuff is. These belongings include a mattress and other essential things that were needed far earlier than nearly three weeks after moving. Most people do not have the time to sit and twiddle their thumbs sleeping on the floor until their movers arrive. Besides that, we decided to be proactive and pay in full at pick up because they only permit cash or money order at drop off so we didn’t want to be rushing to find a place to get the money then. So here we are, across the country for three weeks and waiting for them to get their acts together to show up with our belongings, while still being paid in full. This review will be edited if/when they arrive and fulfill their end of the agreement. As of now, they have broken the terms of their contract and, if anything happens, we will be pursuing lost items/damages in court. This review is to remind people to be cautious that just because the company looks good on paper (BBB accreditated, many good reviews, good first impression) doesn’t mean anything, especially when they get their money.

this company is great amir came and gave us a quote which was much less the the national companies gave us and told us he would deliver overnight. the week of the move Pablo (head guy for our move) came with two guys on mon morning to wrap our furniture and get us ready they were great and made sure nothing would get damaged. on tues morning PAblo and two more guys came and had us loaded by 1 PM which was great since my son and i were leaving for sc that day. they made sure they cleaned up after themselves before they left. my son and i left to met up with my husband who was already in sc. on wed Pablo and another worker showed up in sc around 4 pm and off loaded all our stuff. they made sure that everything was in the correct room and placed were i wanted it. i would tell anyone who cares about their belonging to use amir we have moved a few times and never had anyone take so much care of our things. Pablo and his crew gave us 110% moving is hard amir and his crew made it easier.

Great! Danny and the two other workers arrived on time and did everything they said they would. Even though it was one of the hottest days of the year they still did great job.

Originally I had called for an appt., and since the owner happened to be in the area he stopped by for an estimate within an hour or so of calling.  He came and gave me the estimate, and since the pricing was competitive to all the other moving companies I had researched and since his response was so quick and his demeanor so professional, I hired 201 Movers to move me the following week.  
It had snowed the night before my move, and my building maintenance staff was nowhere to be found and the sidewalks were not cleared and had iced over.  The 201 Movers team showed up exactly on time, and really busted their backs for 3 hours and carried all of my possessions through that ice and snow and didn't complain once.  T
The movers were polite and friendly, and dressed appropriately and overall were very professional.  For their extra efforts I tipped them a bit extra, as they all were really hard-working guys and tried to move as quickly and efficiently as possibly which really helped keep the total cost down.  I still pay a reasonable monthly fee to store my possessions until my girlfriend and I move to a bigger place.

 Throughout entire process, from the initial moving estimate to the move itself, all went so well.  Estimate price was higher than actual cost, when does that ever happen with moving companies? That was a pleasant surprise.  Price was very fair & reasonable.  Two moving men showed up on time, worked very h****** both ends, were professional, polite, friendly, simply stated "the BEST."  Would not hesitate a second to call upon this company again.  Called many companies before making decision to go with this company, this company stood out amongst many others who quoted outrageous cost estimates & sounded very shady.  Save yourself some time if planning a move, call this company only, you'll be very satisfied.  Moving can be a very stressful situation, but with these guys you'll be stress free!! 

We moved from a house to a 3 bedroom apartment and a storage unit. Amir was extremely professional in providing a quote which was very accurate.  Tony and his crew were extremely on time, professional and a pleasure to work with.  I would work with them again in a heartbeat.

provided consice estimate, was on time (coldest day in 26 years@), polite, efficient, packed and protected the furniture, provided wardrobe boxes, extremely efficient, exactly 4 hours door to door, unpacked and re-assembled furniture. just like amir said. PLEASE TIP YOUR MOVERS!! these guys were awesome, and if I move again I will definitely use them.

A friend of mine recommended Movers 201 because she had a very good experience with them when she moved locally.  I asked them for an estimate but also asked other moving companies to give us an estimate.  I was a little skeptical at first because their estimate came in at about half price of the other movers.  I thought there might be some hidden charges or maybe a few broken items during the move.  But I went with Movers 201 because they were much cheaper than the other movers and I thought it would be worth it even if I ended up paying more than the estimate price.  
To my surprise, their final bill came in even lower than their estimate. They were professional, punctual, and I didn't have a single broken item!  It was the smoothest and most stress-free move ever!  Too bad I can never use them again because I no longer live in their service area.

They were good. It was a good experience. They didn’t damage anything. They came when they were supposed and they did what they were supposed to. They were very professional about it. They were very friendly on the phone and very flexible in setting up the appointment.

The movers showed up today early around 8:30am and moved us to our new house, the team was great and the move went as smooth as it can be, we end up paying just around $1000.00 which is the estimate cost Amir gave us on Monday at the home estimate,

they took a good care of our stuff and nothing got damage,

They did it at a very short notice with no problems and no issues.

The team was half an hour early but they were waiting for us.
Movers were very professional. They took good care of our boxes and furniture.
Truck is big enough to hold a lot of stuff
And the most important thing is, the price is reasonable. We have checked several moving companies and their quotes are more expensive.
We will definitely use the company again.

I was given an appointment of 9am but they did not show up till 1pm. By then it rained and some of the things got wet.
They even jacked up the total time put in.
I sent a complaint email explaining the issues but never received any response; obviously they don't care.
Furniture pieces were chipped and one of the wheels from couch was missing; unfortunately I did not realize that for several weeks, Seeing no response to previous complaint I didn't bother to send a follow up complaint.

Movers 201 did two moves for me in Oct. The first move was a major one
and included all my furniture and most of my possessions. This first set
of movers was very professional and the move was as painless as a move
could ever be. It was even fun. The head mover took over and helped pack
and really took charge. The two other men who helped him were great
too. They were all cheerful and I can't praise them highly enough.
The
second move was smaller and the price was very reasonable. The movers
were fast and the move took less time than anticipated. My only
criticism is that English was not their first language and it was not so
easy to communicate with them. Aside from that, my experience with
Movers 201 was a good one and I would use them again.

I have used Movers 201 3 times in the past 2 years.  Now that I am in my own home, I will no longer use their services but recommend them to every member of Angieslist.  They will provide 3 men plus a large truck at a rate of 109 per hour with a 3 hour minimum (as of August 2012).  If you're the lazy type, they will break down all of your furniture and reassemble it for you.  They will wrap dishes, glass and more.  They ran late once but called ahead to give me a heads up.  During the last move, they picked up at my place then headed over to my Fiancee's place to pack her stuff.  I kept costs down by moving some of my smaller misc items (rented a van at 86 dollars for 24 hours) and pre-packing.  It took them five hours to move / transport from 2 apartments into one home.

Movers showed up on time as arranged and although only the foreman spoke english, things were packed up timely and operations went smoothly for the most part. I would point out that had I not kept a close eye on operations the movers may not have been as careful in moving heavy furniture as I had to instruct them to lift the furniture to prevent scratching my landlords hardwood floors. The move and unpacking at the next location also went smoothly. The problem arose when my landlord alerted me the next day to the fact that his wall had been damaged when the truck had been backed up, this damage was concealed with snow and so was not visible to me at the time. I then emailed the owner of the company to let him know about the damage, he promised to go by the property to have a look. When I followed up about two months later I discovered that he had not been to see the damage. I sent various emails over the next few months trying to coordinate a visit. At first he was responsive and promised to visit the property,although he rescheduled a few times, then he said he was busy and finally he stoped replying to my emails alltogether. My landlord finally repaired the damage and deducted the cost from my security deposit.
