I would like to take a moment and let you know how wonderful my experience was with Walter Renovations LLC and Matt Walter in particular. From start to finish, Matt went above and beyond in the building of our dream house in Wildwood Crest at the New Jersey Shore. He is so very professional and knowledgeable in his field, and also very personable (hard to find these days in the Construction industry, lol). We can’t mention enough how professional Matthew was from start to finish. In the beginning, he sat down with us and presented a great deal of information. He informed us of his credentials as a builder, the company information, and lots of information on our home and comparisons in the area. (He was one of 6 builders we interviewed and got prices from). He made a recommendation based on his expertise and experience (he lives in Cape May county too) at the shore and we were impressed so we went with Matthew. We liked the fact that he was up on the latest technology and up to date with building standards, codes, and everything to do with Cape May. We visited some of the homes he built or renovated and they also raved about him. As a homeowner, we relied heavily on the input from him and he always led us in the right direction. We felt very comfortable with the way he handled every detail. He built the home eficiently and swiftly, and neighbors spoke with him and also took down his information for future building renovations, large or small. Our home sits on a cozy street in the "Crest", and is one of the prettiest in the neighborhood. He is such a personable and friendly individual he made us feel very comfortable from beginning to the end. We didn’t hesitate to contact him and will do so with future services. He always answered our questions in the friendliest manner (I know I had some silly questions). He is always very pleasant and smiling. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Matt Walter and his company Walter Renovations LLC to our family, friends, neighbors, or colleagues. The project went beautifully. Matt was a great partner to have in the process and most importantly someone who genuinely cared about doing the right thing for us in every way. His team was very kind and well mannered; really a  pleasure to spend time around. Even the neighbors commented on how organized, clean and professional they seemed (in contract to the crews who'd worked on other neighbors properties recently). Matt kept us up the date daily with pictures and descriptions of work, and was quick to call me back every time I had any questions. 

Value, performance/quality and being a good person were the three criteria we based our contractor selection on.  Matt ended up fitting the bill on all three.  We couldn't be more pleased with the product, and we're just thanking our selves that we picked Matt over this competitors.

Matt Walters, the owner of the company is a terrific guy to work with on a job that is very important to you.  He pays attention to your job not only until he gets the contract signed but throughout the entire job.  He actually answers your phone calls and texts and is incredibly prompt in doing so.  His workmanship is great.  He is a very trustworthy guy who wants you to be satisfied with the results of the job he does.  He pays particular attention to detail.  He listens to what you want and tries to deliver exactly what you want. 

Matt came recommended to me by our neighbor who had found Matt's company on Angie's list and all of the positive things that she told me about Matt were absolutely on point.

You will not be disappointed with using Matt.  He was aware that I had a specific budget and he advised me as to where I could spend a little less money but get the same quality of materials.  He will not "nickel and dime" you to death.  Some contractors come in with a low price and then kill you with the price of change orders; that is not Matt's style.  He is a very fair contractor and I wish that all people in business were as forthright as Matt. 

A great find and Matt should continue doing business in this manner.  Very easy to work with and has an easy personality to deal with.

Meticulous work, prompt, keep me updated, did not mind questions, called back/texted promptly, worked with the City Construction Office, the electrician etc.  The crew was great, neat, polite and HARD WORKING.  They understood that my dogs needed to be safe while the work was being done.  
Took off aluminium siding, house had no insulation.  Put in insulation and completed one side at a time b/c the house was open to the studs from the outside.  Put in the insulation, sheathing, and wrapped the house. Put up the Hardie Board, soffits and trim.  Arranged for the other contractors to complete the work.  I did not have to deal with the subs at all.
Took my changes in stride.  Usually, I needed a visual and a diagram.  Never lost patience with my "why" or What does that do or when does xxx happen"?
House looks FABULOUS.

Matt was prompt with his proposal and provided a detailed account of the costs for the job.  After the work was started  we encountered some challenges with the way the roof of the room under renovation was supported by an adjacent roof .  Due to the structure of the roof we had to change the scope of the work, eliminating some of the demo work.  Matt backed out the cost of this work and came up with a better idea.  It wound up costing less money and we were delighted with the results.  Matt completed the work on time and I found his workers extremely professional and friendly.  I highly recommend Walter Renovations, and will use him again for our next project.

Matt was a pleasure to work with.  He was able to obtain the doors weeks before any other contractor and within a week had them installed much to my delight.  Work was  done professionally and quickly.  Couldn't have asked for more.

Matt was a partner through out the project. He met with me several times to ensure we had developed a complete scope of work and gave me alternative pricing where I considered various options. The work was done at a property location remote from where I live, typically. Matt provide photos and updates so that I knew work status and so that we could resolve any questions or make decisions in a timely fashion. I was very happy with the quality of work, and the price. He was a pleasure to work with and I would recommend his work to others.

I have written reviews before but needed to add this information. Our project was finished by December, and matt was paid  in full. Not only were we happy with the renovation, , everyone that  has come into our house comments on what a great job Matt and all of his subcontractors did.  On July 3 rd we came down to the shore and it was the first time we were using our air conditioning that Tom put in. We didn't think it was working so I texted matt. He got back to me within 5 minutes of my text and Tom called us  10 minutes later. We had fixed the problem but I was so impressed with Matt. Other contractors would have ignored us or got back to us after the fourth. Matt returning our call and having his subcontractor contact us is just the way Matt does business. Throughout our renovation Matt answered my calls immediately, dealt with some if my indecision, and was always available when you needed him.

I would recommend highly recommend using Matt and his crew for any job a person is looking to hire him for.

Everything went precisely as planned.  Matt was extremely professional and knowledgeable, but very approachable as well.  He listened to my ideas for the space and made recommendations of his own, based upon his expertise.
Due to some unforeseen delays and additions, the estimate I was given came in a little low - but Matt completely itemized everything to my satisfaction.
I have absolutely no complaints with Matt or any of his subcontractors.

Matt did a great job!  Once again he did not disappoint.  Would absolutely recommend him.

They are very professional. They arrive at 8:00 am everyday and left at 4:45 pm. Very meticulous. I will definitely use this company again.

Matt Walter was extremely responsive and helpful.  His folks did an outstanding, high-quality job.  I really liked that Matt was always reachable by phone or email.  He responded within an hour of any email or call I placed.  Matt also sent pictures of the progress.  When he ran into potential problems - as any renovation will encounter - Matt offered solid advice on a resolution.  The original estimate and the final cost were within a few percentage points and all the work was finished in the time frame promised.  He would have finished sooner if it weren't for all the snow.

Matt was fantastic to deal with.  I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great contractor in South Jersey.  I could not have asked for a better experience!!  
I now have him working up a price for us on another project.

Matt Walter at Walter Renovations was a pleasure to work with from the day we first contacted him for a quote. During the in person quote, Matt was very polite and professional and listened to everything we had to tell him, giving us his recommendations only after having spoken to us about our wants/needs. Matt took the time to really understand what it was we were looking to do and offered his professional recommendations, which were very helpful, and the project turned out great!
The time between when Matt came out for the quote and when we received his estimate (which did not change by the end of the project, except for a few additions that we asked for during the project) was about a week. To get started with the project, Matt only asked for a deposit in the amount of the window so that he was able to order the window. The original start date for the project was about a month out from when we received our estimate, however, we were unable to start the project on time due to a conflict in my schedule. Matt communicated regularly with us to reschedule the project, however, weather conditions did not allow the project to start for about another month and a half to two months later. While we were waiting to install the window, Matt came out to install my new porch column which went flawlessly.
Once a break in the weather came, the project went very smoothly. Matt estimated that the project would take two days and that is what it took (other than him having to come back for some extra spackling which he was glad to do). Matt and his crew of three had our old window out and the new window in along with the outside of the home being re-weatherproofed in one day. Also, the crew had installed the new roof add-on above the new bay window installed on the first day. At the end of the first day Matt and his crew cleaned up and headed out.
The next morning, Matt and his crew were back and finished up the aesthetics of the new window, inside and out. Matt had to put up new siding on the outside of the house and was able to match it perfectly with the 12 year old siding that was already on the home (my wife didn't even notice that it was new siding until I told her). Matt and his crew also did the repair work to my roof, installed my new lights on the outside of my garage, and cleaned everything up before leaving.
Matt pointed out to my wife and I that the locks on the new window had the finish coming off after only the first or second use and already contacted his representative at Anderson to get replacements. Matt stated that when the replacements come in, he will come out to repair the locks. Matt also came back out one more time to finish up some spackling around the window.
Overall, everything looks great and Matt and his crew were very polite and professional throughout the project. I am hoping to sometime in the future finish off my basement and I know when I am ready to do so, I will be calling Matt at Walter Renovations!
